Will the Messengers of God wait for the Judgement Day ?

FearGod

What do you think of God's messengers ?

Are they living now in heaven or will wait similar to us for the judgement day ?

Is there any verses from scriptures to clear it ?

I cant really answer the question because in Judaism a so called "Judgement Day" takes places every year on Rosh Hashanah.

Baha'is have the belief that the Messengers of God and the Prophets are the Concourse on High..

"The faithful are ever sustained by the presence of the Supreme Concourse. In the Supreme Concourse are Jesus, and Moses, and Elijah, and Bahá'u'lláh, and other supreme Souls: there, also, are the martyrs."

(Abdu'l-Baha, Abdu'l-Baha in London, p. 97)

Verily, We behold you from Our realm of glory, and shall aid whosoever will arise for the triumph of Our Cause with the hosts of the Concourse on high and a company of Our favoured angels.'

(Abdu'l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu'l-Baha, p. 17)

The Judgement Day has already occurred in our belief..

'Have the verses been sent down?' Say 'Yea, by Him Who is the Lord of the heavens!' 'Hath the Hour come?' 'Nay, more; it hath passed, by Him Who is the Revealer of clear tokens! Verily, the Inevitable is come, and He, the True One, hath appeared with proof and testimony. The Plain is disclosed, and mankind is sore vexed and fearful. Earthquakes have broken loose, and the tribes have lamented, for fear of God, the Lord of Strength, the All-Compelling.' Say: 'The stunning trumpet-blast hath been loudly raised, and the Day is God's, the One, the Unconstrained.' And they say: 'Hath the Catastrophe come to pass?' Say: 'Yea, by the Lord of Lords!' 'Is the Resurrection come?' 'Nay, more; He Who is the Self-Subsisting hath appeared with the Kingdom of His signs.' 'Seest thou men laid low?' 'Yea, by my Lord, the Most High, the Most Glorious!' 'Have the tree-stumps been uprooted?' 'Yea, more; the mountains have been scattered in dust; by Him the Lord of attributes!' They say: 'Where is Paradise, and where is Hell?' Say: 'The one is reunion with Me; the other thine own self, O thou who dost associate a partner with God and doubtest.' They say: 'We see not the Balance.' Say: 'Surely, by my Lord, the God of Mercy! None can see it except such as are endued with insight.' They say: 'Have the stars fallen?' Say: 'Yea, when He Who is the Self-Subsisting dwelt in the Land of Mystery. Take heed, ye who are endued with discernment!

(Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, p. 117)

The Messengers of G-d are judged every day, for they all gather daily before the throne of glory.

For reference to this in scripture, read Job.

Although Sikhs /Dharmic ppl have different approach , yet m curious to know what ppl associated with Abrahmic faiths think .

Messengers waiting ? waiting is so boring ,don't they suffer from boredom ?:D

OurCreed

There is no God but Allah
I believe that the moment a person passes away, it is already the Last Day, like, the MOMENT you pass away, time in the real world passes away immediately, everybody has died, your family has died and you are awaiting the Judgement of Allah (God) along with every other human being that has passed away in all the different ages.

So that means that those humans living thousands of years ago are still, not really 'waiting', but nobody has entered paradise or the hellfire yet, because time is going extremely slow for them.

But I may be wrong.

IMO, God's messengers are always preasent on this earth, they are needed for the survival of this earth.

There is similar belief in Judaism. In the Talmud, it talks about 36 Tzadikim Nistarim (righteous hidden people) of who the world depends on. There are 36 at all times, and it says that if one were missing, the world would come to an end.
They are hidden in the sense that no one knows that these people are a part of the 36 Tzadikim. Some opinions will tell you that they themselves don't even know.

(Sanhedrin 97b; Sukkah 45b)

Its not my belief, am SURE
Yes, like.. there are pillars who support a building, Similarly there are some souls who are supporting this world, and yes some of them themselves don't even know, but am NOT-SURE about their countings.

For example: A bulb needs both negative and positive current to glow, Similarly this world also needs both negative and positive energy to exist, Saints/messangers/gurus play the role of wires through which positive current is being transmitted, whereas rest of the souls play the role of wires through which negative energy is being transmitted.

Many would say that King David was one of Gods messengers. God chose him to lead Isreal, he was annointed by Gods prophet and he wrote many inspired Psalms.... yet this is what the scriptures say about him:

Acts 2:29-34*“Men, brothers, it is allowable to speak with freeness of speech to YOU concerning the family head David that he both deceased and was buried and his tomb is among us to this day, ... he was a prophet...*Actually David did not ascend to the heavens

Based on this verse it seems to indicate that prophets are awaiting the resurrection just like everyone else.
