How do you define a traditional woman when it comes to relationships

my boy is having second thoughts about his relationship, before he got with his chick she told him she was a traditional woman, which a year later he is finding that their definition of "traditional" is not the same

what is yours
So a year later and still not getting any? Can't say she didn't warn him.

As a fellow Brit, I can confirm - you are not exaggerating. Our Ladette culture is certainly nothing to be proud of..... then again neither is our Lad culture!

Yeah, totally; I feel a huge disconnect and disgust from this 'culture' that I feel like I'm a misanthropist sometimes. :D

Preferably a random Mummy, (but I don't mind if it turns out to be Cleopatra with her asp included).

Vagabond

I wrote a song about those. :D

I'm doing a whole concert based on West coast women's history. Traditional wild West women were pretty adventurous. Also choosy, since they were able to be. There were a hundred men for every woman here 150 years ago. Not only could you be picky in your relationships, some women didn't bother to marry at all because they could easily support themselves.

Our most famous female pioneer went through five husbands. We're talking death, not divorce.

"Traditional" women in Canada were tough, capable, independent, entrepreneurial and pragmatic. The Victorian gender ideals were mainly for the upper crust. Everybody else worked, did what they had to do, or did what they wanted to do.

Why do folks assume their ancestors were more restrained and "proper" than they are? Have people any idea how rowdy folks were 100, 200, or 500 years ago?
