Your #1 Question

Axel

I have been given a project to put together a manual about 'How can I get Closer to God' and want to make sure it's a good one.

So, I've put together a survey to make sure I answer any questions that normal people would have about getting closer to God.

Therefore, I've got a question, a favour and a thank you.

1st - What is your #1 question about How can I get closer to God?
2nd - Post your question at Take a Survey | How to get closer to God
3rd - By helping me out and posting your question, I'll send you a copy of the manual

Thanks heaps:)

First things first - you need to define the type of god you want to get closer to. Building a relationship with an Abrahamic god would be different than with a Pagan god or a deistic god, etc. (Plus - it gives you a topic which can take up at least a page of your project! ;) )

I'll post here, if you don't mind.

So, "God" in base, is an axiom. Now, most people chose to see "God" under a common and witless based personalization. Or in other words, most people conform to the "flock" or mass belief/world-view definition of "God". Some just have never cared to explore "God" beyond with what they were raised with, leading to the Belief in One False Principal dichotomy.

Most often, any Opposition of these sources leads to scapegoating and dissent within the denominations of this world view.

"God" is defined by everyone, simply because it is a label used to describe "The most supreme". The earliest found history of the word "God" was found among the language of the Sanskrit, dating back to 15,000 years ago. The word "God" translated into "call upon, implore, invoke".

These translations have a vague correlation with the early translations of the Hebrew and Arabic texts for the term "Satan", such as "Ha-Satan" and "Shaitan" which literally means, "Opposition" or "Adversary". An even more direct correlation is with the early Christian assertions of what "Satan" was labled and described to be.

Most people often relate the lable "Satan" with evil, or the accuser, the tempest, the provoker, the devil, Lucifer, and destroyer.

The Roman "God" Lucifer was said to be the harbinger of light and prudence. It so just happens, that scientific evidence has over turned that our very molecules contain biophotons or Light! Of course, these terms can be taken universally for some hold the belief that Opposition asserts that anything that is not the same as itself, is in Opposition to the other, which means the entirety of existence is in Opposition to itself. Of course this is controversial and is completely subjected to Heinz Height.

Alright, enough of the sales pitch.

Personally "God" is a term that shouldn't be used to describe one's self evidence. You are "God" and "God" is "God". Through the depth of your mind and His, he will lead you. Consider it "instinct". You are bound to an innevitable doom, our very being allows us to observe something that is beyond us.

Our knowledge that we have, was amassed in the very dust we are built of. What entails the picture of Life is not but one narrow concept, but what we are able to do, perceive. It goes beyond some mere sky daddy and local book burnings.

To get closer to "God" get closer to yourself. Between yourself and reality, lies no dogma besides that which you observe of the demanding leaders and messiahs of the Earth. Denial and Hate tends to feed Man's arrogance and deception. It is understandable why the "seven deadly sins" are labled so, but anyone who can rationalize such an effigy would see that Man is capable of taking control of this very Nature.

It is obvious, denying and trying to "overcome" One's Nature only makes them succumb to it even more. Instead of learning from it, "abstinence" was considered over "indulgence", which made Man completely oblivious to His own resourcefulness and self deceit.

Running from your problems doesn't solve them.

Whew...that's enough for now...
