Mormon Scriptures

EverChanging

Well-Known Member
I have learned about many religions and have taken an interest in Mormonism lately. I have a copy of the Book of Mormon from missionaries that I am reading right now, but I don't have the Pearl of Great Price or Doctrine&the Covenants. Does anyone know where I could obtain a free copy of these scriptures?

I saw a thread by an LDS member from the forums who said she could get a free copy of all three in one, but I haven't been able to find that thread.

I'm not sure where you can get a free one - the missionaries might have a copy or two lying around, but they don't normally give these out.

On my mission, we had some to give to new members, along with Gospel Principles, but not loads of them to give to anyone. Personally, I'd go with the really cheap option and read them online, but I'm quite stingy...

have a question..

if I am a spirit indwelled true faithful obidient beleiver, am I saved?
We Latter-day Saints don't generally speak of being saved in the present tense. We believe that he who endures to the end will be saved. Also, to us, salvation can mean different things, depending on the context in which the word is used. If you are wondering whether we believe that you will end up going to Heaven, the answer is yes.

You're welcome to read the Pearl of Great Price and the D&C, but I would recommend that you prioritize the reading suggestions the missionaries give you. Once you've read those things, then knock yourself out.

if the early mormons lived in central america and the plates were buried there by mormon and moroni, then how did joseph smith find them on a hill in ny?

THIS thread is titled "latter day saints" appropriate reply

It's called "Mormon Scriptures" and while the OP is looking to obtain some Mormon Scriptures, I don't think she means at Cumorah. If you read the OP, it's pretty obvious this isn't a discussion of the reconciliation of the Gold Plates' found location with the stories they contained. Inappropriate reply.

By "early mormons," who do you mean? The people whose history is recounted in the Book of Mormon? If that's the case, we don't know where they lived.

My understanding is that it was originally buried in El Salvador, and later transplanted to New York by aliens just to mess with us.
