I guess I'm the old fark here. How about Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf, Bad Company, Jefferson Airplane (original), The Doors, The Eagles, Robil Trower, Stevie Ray Vaugh, FleetwoodMac, Blue Oyster Cult and of coarse Iron Butterfly the original "heavy" group of the late 60's.

Zepplin is the definition of heavy metal. I love Iron Butterfly and Steppenwolf too. Oh, and Cream, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, ELP, Pink Floyd and of course Jimi Hendrix.

Oh yes and the ones you mentioned as well as many others! I just couldn't think of them all. After all I am a child of the 60's and I lived in S. Cal. in the late 60's and was a teenager at the time. Oh Wow Man!!
I acually saw the Door's in concert in LA at a small club before they made it big. By the way they sucked live.

Oh man, I wish was a teenager in the 60s. :jam: You guys had all the fun! IMO all the good music died at the start of the 80s.
