I concur!linwood said:I think Americans must start supporting a third party in a serious manner.
We have become so polarized that support for a young third party at this time is seen as useless.
And remind Bushtard that he's the President...not the Pope. (It's about separation of church and state, dude.)NetDoc said:First... ban sunglasses and especially Poloroids.
Second... Equip every TV with a BS-Chip, which is similar to a "V-Chip", but far, far more useful.
Third... Shoot every politician that spends more than %50 of their advertisements flaming their opponents.
Fourth... Sink the Swift Boat Veterans.

COMMUNICATE!!! We have crossed over into a place where people actually don't like each other because they don't agree on an issue. They don't talk and don't communicate and therefore have no other interaction than their argument over a certain issue. What they need to do is subscribe to a forum where other ideas and thoughts are offered and that way they can realize that just because someone doesn't hold the same opinion as you, doesn't make them bad, it doesn't make evil, it doesn't make them wrong, it just makes them different. And what makes us different is what makes us great!!!Sunstone said:What can be done to reduce the polarization in American politics? What will happen if the polarization continues and increases?

Yes, they are mysteriously united against a third party, or heaven forbid a fourth party.
If you hear what those third party's representative's have to say (Even Nader!!) , and could question in the present administrations foreign and domestic policy's during a debate, they wouldn't get away with the average load of bovine secretion they are presenting during the screened debates we had to endure.
Its easy to say the social security is broken, It is harder to have a third party canditate tell the American public that the 2 major parties looted it in the good times. (IIRC)
