Pray for the Prostitute

I live in New York. Yesterday, in church, prayers were asked for the family of Elliot Spitzer. I was wondering, is anyone praying for the prostitute?

Considering some of the info out there on her personal page, it would make sense, wouldn't it?

No, they had it all over the news last week. Can't remember if it's facebook or myspace, but it had some of her story on it (prior to the Spitzer mess that is).

I would think anyone abused as a child who left home at 17 and found prostitution the best means of supporting herself might could use a few prayers, eh?

Does she not deserve prayers? Seems to me to be a critical assumption that no one should. I could be wrong, though. It's been known to happen...

Everyone deserves prayers, including prostitutes. Jesus said that the well don't need a doctor, but the ill do.

What about all the other prostitutes, the ones that don't make $4k a pop?

Yeah, she is kind of an up and comer singing type. I heard a song of hers on the radio, she can actually sing quite well.

Oh, and why is this Politician/Arse getting prayer requests in your church? He knowingly and voluntarily went and did this, apparently many times to the tune of $80K or so, from what I have heard. Its not like he fell on unfortunate hard times. He got caught with his hand in the hooker jar after supposedly being some moral crusader.

Makes me wonder how many people he sent to jail and prison over the years for "moral" offenses, only to get himself caught.

I am being totally serious, by the way, in wondering what the preacher man said when sending out the prayer request. I would have given everything in my wallet to have been sitting there when he asked that.

Good to know. Perhaps the notoriety will pay off then and she can get somewhere with the singing.

Uh...I thought Sandy said the *family* was being prayed for? I understood that to mean the wife and kids...Spitzer might be optional.
