I think it's inherently homophobic that it's pink. Not that pink is a "gay" colour, but just in this context I don't like it. Why does it have to be pink?
Ok, when my wife and I got married (we're both girls btw) this was a big issue for us. My last name is VERY important to me, I come from a very close family and I'm a complete Daddy's girl and I just wanted to keep it. She barely knows her Dad. However, we wanted the same last name and I...
Yes. I have yet to experience a Pride where I havent cried. In regards to the Queens and Kings, during Stonewall who was on the street fighting for our rights? It wasn't Ellen Degeneres. It was the tranny's the drag queens, the butches, the high femmes. These are forms of expressions that go...
At the university here the Red Cross does blood drives on campus. The Queer Organization always "protests" them, but instead of urging a boycott we ask students to "Donate Blood today, Because we can't" it really gets people talking which is nice.
I want to keep the Conservatives out of office, and would absolutely NOT vote Liberal, which is more a distrust for Paul Martin and also my local candidate. In 2004, my riding was won Conservative, the NDP lost by less than 100 votes. I will therefore be voting NDP to follow my heart, and to...

then why are there children who have been raised by gay/lesbian parents who are wonderful human beings? Why are there children with loving hetero parents who are not so wonderful?
Love between me and my partner is not needing to be together 24/7. It's knowing just by looking when something is very wrong or very right. It's making decisions together, moving across the country in a neon together. We've been together just over a year and are still suprised by each other...
I'm reading Ice Bound about Jerri Nielson, the south pole doctor who had breast cancer while on the ice. I'm also reading Wicked, the novel that the musical is based on. I saw the play as a birthday present in March and I"m slightly obsessed :D
I have trouble with the notion that beauty is only present in heterosexual relationships as well. How can two people loving caring wanting each other not be beautiful? Beauty is genderless.
what about not teaching children about homosexuality specifically, but teaching a message of tolerance to all people, which schools already do, but including sexual orientation in that? Isn't that a valid and useful message?
I think that, if done appropriately, and respectfully to other...
