  • That's really harsh of her.

If that were me, I'd really be seriously considering if this is the one whom I should be dating.
Sounds like the other way around: Your heart wants her, head doesn't.

Only thing I can advise, I guess, is if you think it would be better for you (like if you think she's doing the dirty behind your back or something), break up, if not, stay together. You're still young, after all.

Have you spoke to her about spending less time drinking and around the neighbours' and stuff? Neither the wife or myself drink, which is quite important for me personally. What would she say if you asked if you could go with her some time, do you know? How would she react: reserved and dismissive or "sure, if he's ok with it"?
I think humans are in too large a group atm; humans are supposed to thrive in smaller, tribe-sized groups, like 150-500 or so people at most.

That sounds like a really scary stalker! You're lucky she went to the loony bin! The ex-girlfriend tried to intimidate me once by getting her uncle to threaten to beat me up because I "broke her heart" (o_O?). I only got with her because my cousin nagged me, because she was doing her head in. Rule of thumb: don't date people your cousins nag you to! :D). He stopped, because I laughed at him and I threatened him explicitly (even though her dad was a cop ). :D

Sorry to hear your gf sometimes is like that! I don't want to tell you what to do or anything like that, though, do what you think is right, go with your gut - but I'd think it might be important to explain to her how you feel if you think it's bothering you too much and/or distressing you.

I think we all say things we don't mean to say in anger - you're no exception. :)
If you haven't already written down the lyrics that you posted on the Disciples Of Satan group, I would do it now as I am deleting the group at 4:00PM Eastern Time.
I was an outcast in school, a bit. I had a few friends, but I loathed the majority of the school. There was a rumour about me being a devil worshipper. when I wasn't. I never wanted to be alone, either - and luckily I'm not and we get on well and have two lovely kids, which is all I could ever ask for. ^_^

I don't think humans are cut out to be alone.
Lol, that is dramatic! I had something kind of similar; an ex-girlfriend made a big fuss about us breaking up, even though it was like "I don't think I can see you any more" "Ah, no worries" "You *******! *kicks up a fuss*" XD When she found out I was with my then-girlfriend-now-wife, she actually found my wife's mother's phone number and rang her to warn her not to go out with me because I'm not a nice person--her ringing was freaky because my wife's mother's home is ex-directory meaning it's not listed in the phone book O_O And then she stalked us for six months, and she'd always try and claim I was following her, but people found out she was doing it and skanked her. :D

She'd even ring my parent's house and even e-mail me; I had to set an automatic filter so any email she sent me went straight to the bin!

What do you mean you like to talk to her when she gets annoyed?
I know what you mean; I didn't want to be at 17. You're young at 17, why would you want to think about marriage? :D

I ended up getting my then girlfriend pregnant though, at 18, and we got engaged before the baby was born. Luckily my wife is a tomboy and my friend as well. :D

Yeah it was a lot of money. Poor girl, really sucked. I know my uncle is/was still angry at God for it, which is kind of sad. He's gotten himself a new partner now though, quite a few years later. I suppose that's what comes with the best answer being "God has a plan for all of us" though, eh? What kind of answer is that anyway? :D
I understand how you feel; I got married myself, though - although at 17 it was the last thing on my mind.

Our wedding cost £1200 ($1735) for everything - flowers, new clothes, the church, the food, the reception - everything!! :D My uncle and his wife spent £30,000 ($43K) on a wedding and she died less than 7 yrs later. :(

Not a bad price though, eh?
Yeah, to give up on practically everything you stand for in order to get married..meh.
I think nowadays though he's clinging onto his belief because he's depressed; he's using it in order to have a reason for being married in a far away country (same state as you :D) with a wife who can be pretty overbearing!

I agree a lot of Christians pull it. Hell, a lot of theists pull it too, and that's coming from a purple. :D

For my brother, what makes his god more believable is that he's convinced himself it's this one because he married a Christian. I do think everyone has their own concept of truth, what speaks to their heart. What must go on in their heart to believe in a god who burns people in eternal fire for picking the wrong religion I have no idea!
Shame they got shut down! But yeah, illegal workers and all. :(

How he went from LHP to Catholic? A girl. She wouldn't marry him unless he was Catholic, so he converted, and then they ended up going to a new church after they became disillusioned with their Catholic one, and it went from bad to worse.

I like LHP, too. It's a pretty fun path! Only I'm a theist (well, sort of. I guess I'm closer to Panentheist Monist) by nature and I'm away from Abrahamic nonsense so theistic LHP doesn't suit my personality, but if I was an atheist or Abrahamic believer, I think LHP would be my thing!

Yeah, I'm surprised I don't get angry! I think it's because I enjoy arguing with him, though. Something about arguing with a Biblical literalist who says "Logic < Truth" is just amazingly fun, and winding him up when he signs off with a little Jesus fish to replying with an Om is amazingly fun. :D
LOL! I think everyone thinks their local Chinese is serving dog or cat! One near my mum was supposed to do it before, but I don't think it's true. Those before them used to hang chickens on the washing line though to thaw!

Nah that doesn't sound too good!

Yep, he went from LHP, being an atheist LHPer, with belief in himself as his own goda nd the only one who could better himself to Catholic.. then a fundy: creationism, literal Biblical stuff, preaching, no way to the Father except Jesus, etc...

His God has told him through prayers that he has special plans for me. :cover:

He preaches at me all the time, but he hasn't spoken to me for a couple of days because I insulted his God: he was harassing me and nagging at me and insulting my beliefs for ages. I lost my temper and calling his God an asura (anti-god, a giant from Norse mythos). He didn't like that. :D

He hasn't spoke to me for about a fortnight or so now, when he would usually preach every day! :D
I think it's because a lot of people who are Christian aren't as insane as some of the ones who subscribe to it. I've met some pretty decent Christians, but some absolute nutjobs.. my brother is the latter. From LHP to Catholic to Evangelical Christian Creationist. Doh!

What's a General Tso? Is that a Chinese restaurant chain or something? Interesting name. :D

Girls are always blah, dude. :D Opposite sex is always confusing - there's a saying from my dad about mum, "I'm always in the **** (in trouble), it's just the depth that varies". Lol, quite accurate, I think!

We all know women get funny around certain times of the month especially, all you can do I guess is just give her a kiss and a cuddle and tell her you love her. ^_^
I like his posts, I just get sick of hearing people use the word illogical all the time as if their view is any more logical. Total respect for him thus far however.
That may be true, however you can't PROVE it lol, nobody can. I do agree though, if there WAS an item passed down by god then everybody would be hopping all over that ****. I think he misworded his post. He was trying to say that the WORD was passed down, not the physical scripture itself. He could've just gotten got up in his flame war, lol, you two had some pretty heated responses back and forth.
I'm coming across the same thing, check out this post I started earlier today:

It's pointless and irrelevant I know, but it's kept me busy for a few hours :)
