Hey, I am moving from an area that gets about an inch of snow a year to one that gets around 20 inches of snow a year. Cold enough for me!
I know. Baby steps. I would not want to move to Texas directly from Minnesota either. My brother took a detour to the Washington DC area before he moved to Houston. My younger brother got married in Dallas, in the middle of the summer, in a church without air conditioning. That was a bit too much for my Minnesota blood.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Hey, that's a bit too much for MY blood and I am from the southern US and have lived in Texas for over 30 years!

I had some friends from Michigan once and they visited me and we went to Panama City, FL. I kept telling them to pace themselves, to go easier, that the wind itself wasn't enough to actually cool them off, etc. They ignored me and spent the next four days recovering from heat sickness (not heat stroke, just heat exhaustion) in their quiet, dark hotel room. Not my idea of fun but I did warn them.

I live in a lukewarm state now. Or should I say "lukecool". It almost never gets hot. 100 is almost never heard of. It does not get cold. I think about 20 is the coldest that I have ever seen. Most of the time it is between about 35-40 in the winter for a high to 85-90 at the hottest in the summer. In Minnesota when I was growing up there would always be a week of -20 lows in the winder and it would always hit at least 90 in the summer. And sometimes get to 100. So upwards of a120 degree range in temperature. The coldest ever was -29 one winter when my eyelashes would freeze a little bit each time that I blinked. The hottest was 107.

But you raise a very sound point. When one visits a new area listen to the locals when they tell you how you should dress and how to approach physical activities. Hats can be crucial in both the cold and in the heat.

Personally, I don't believe the US economy would collapse if illegal immigrants went home but hey, that's just me.

Seems that you're unaware of the shortage of unskilled and semiskilled laborers here in the States.

It has been given. But, if you admit that you have no clue I will gladly give the citation that you would have seen if you were following this thread. Once again, a minimal amount of honesty is needed to demand evidence.
Can you provide your citation without making degrading statements about me? Give it a try.

We thrive on snow. Not much did we get this winter though.

I don't think so. LIke I said, I don't believe our economy would collapse without illegal immigration, I worked in staffing in NE Texas for a long, long time and I just didn't see many illegal immigrants working anywhere and the vast majority of employers paid above minimum wage and used e-verify.

@F1fan

Are you watching the SOTU?

Biden, your hero, just referred to some migrants as ILLEGALS.

Let me quote him...
"Laken Riley killed by an illegal"

He did not say illegal aliens.. He point blank said illegals!

That piece of racist ****. You should not vote for him.

Lmmfao
Correction: He referred to Laken Riley as "Lincoln", and did it twice.
That's just one indication of how much he cares about those killed by his potentially future voters. Can't even say their name without screwing it up. One more case where his teleprompter couldn't help him as he had to use his own cognitive skills.

I am not going to go state by state, but I will say that currently the unemployment rate for the US is at 3.7 percent. So no, I stand by my comments about illegal immigration being halted and it not causing the collapse of the US economy.

Facts are backed up by evidence.
Your talking point fails on its own.
LOL! You forgot that one has to show that you have to follow the rules of proper debate to demand evidence. If I feel like it i may drop some, but since all you have is denial when evidence is given to you I have no need to present any to you.

Still awaiting your evidence.....

Factual statements are not "degrading". I present evidence for others quite often. For a select few I will not until they change.

Why couldn't you just admit that you had no clue? If you had done so I would have provided evidence to you.

I have no clue as to what your evidence is since you refuse to provide any.
So, inform me regarding your evidence.
