Rolemodels for gay people

Honestly closest i could think of is Trevor from Phantasmagoria 2. Think its the most non stereotypical way too. But why its a good role model? "Responsible, good character, has a value system"

Although i do remember when i was a teenager, and Brokeback Mountain was a thing. But i still see it as too much of a parody movie. Its not that i dont value serious movies but its how you do it. Overall i guess i dont make sexuality into a hobby.

And then there is serious propaganda movies, like i remember i saw True Blood when i was younger. And i was like.. look if you want to do one with "Westboro Baptist church" thats fine.. .But the way they did it in that show was so bad, it wasnt believable at all. Thats my problem. I think "All in the Family" atleast had the conservative jokes running, so i can appreciate that show for that.

But the best way to write a character, is having a character in mind when making something new. If that makes sense. But interms of likeable character. Trevor is the coolest one

I'm curious why you think so much about gay people? Have we done anything in particular to earn this honor?

Do you wish to ask us who our heroes were in general, or are you asking if we had heroes specifically related to LGBT+ identity?

Are you just looking for examples where we were happy to see representation (even if not heroes)?

I guess if I'm going to answer the question, one of the first major films I noticed representation in was Chasing Amy (but I wouldn't call Alyssa a hero).

My actual heroes have nothing to do with being LGBT+. I think there's a difference between appreciating representation and looking up to heroes.

Its more my issue with socialist influence. Where its nothing wrong with being gay. But its the socialist culture of lack of accountabiliy for bad behavior, for how you behave or value system. They never try to teach that. They dont seem to have standards. So rolemodels that has positive influence is better than non at all is what i mean

Yeah they are just people. And socialist use them to create chaos. Its socialism i mainly hate here interms of bad influence of bad value system

It seem that you have a very negative and prejudicial view of "being Gay"
I have no doubt that they look to the same role models in life as the rest of us. I can't say that it has ever occurred to me to have questioned the sexuality of a role model.

And as far as I am aware Being gay has never been associated with socialism or the left generally.
In the pejorative days of the past it was certainly associated with and accepted by the elite and sophisticated socialites.
But these are new times, and gays are to be found everywhere, in every society and class, they are just part of the fabric of the world.
Your post reflect a very outdated and irresponsible world view. It is perpetuating those views, that is dangerous and divisive

Singling out Gays for comment, is pejorative in itself.
In my book Gays fulfill the same roles in society as everyone else. But like fellow males, Gays fall outside my potential pool of preferred sexual partners.
How can this be a problem to anyone?
