Jesus was crucified by the Romans because he had caused trouble in the temple and was claiming to be the King of the Jews. The Sanhedrin had no power to execute. Thus Jesus' execution was solely the responsibility of the Romans, who DID have that authority.You left out the part of the Sanhedrins part and some jews in the supposed conspiracy

I'm not talking about executioner. I'm talking about authority to convict and execute. The Sanhedrin had no power to issue an execution. Furthermore, if you believe the gospel account, there were numerous problems with the meeting of the Sanhedrin which render it an illegal court.the sanhedrin played a part. simply because there is an executioner doesn't mean there wasn't a prosecutor
