In Colorado Springs this morning, the police came out in force to stand in solidarity with the people protesting George Floyd's death.

It might interest people to know that the Springs is the State's largest conservative-leaning city. The police here were only a few years ago the subject of a documentary on their racially biased enforcement of the laws. But perhaps Mr. Floyd's death (and incidents like it) since the time of the documentary have begun to change attitudes. One can hope.

I think it's well worth sparing a thought for all the good police officers across the country.
Between systemic failures and some bad decisions by fellow officers, their jobs are made all the more difficult.
