Nine Pieces Of Evidence That Confirm The Historical Accuracy Of The Bible

So other Christ-denying, anti-supernaturalist "deny everything presented to them" skeptics like you are going to check my work?

LOL. Whistle for it.
Wow. I just asked how you determined that the claim you made is accurate. In other words, why should anyone believe it?
And your answer is basically F*** off. LOL indeed.

Yeah, I've known several. And they were healed.

You know, there is no evidence skeptics like you would ever accept, so continuing to ask for what you're in denial of is a waste of time for both of us.

There is plenty of evidence skeptics would accept if it were balanced and convincing. Unfortunately, every time any type of faith healer or suprnatural artist of aany description has plied their "trade" in a scientific environment, they've come up short. Derren Brown did a show (Miracle on Netflix) in which he adopts the trappings of faith healers, but openly admits at the beginning that he is using psychology and suggestion to achieve what he does. Not god or magic.

Its worth a watch - humans can be influenced in the wierdest of ways. People's pain can temprarily disappear. They believe they can see. They can be made to lose the ability to read.

What about muslim writers? Sikh ones? Buddhist? You're discounting almost as many by subscribing to christianity. The thing is, the reasons you have for accepting jesus as the messiah are identical to muslims accepting Muhammad as the prophet. Mainly, its upbringing and geographical/temporal location. If you were brought up in Norway 500ad, you'd probably believe in Thor, Odin, Tyr with exactly the same conviction of faith as you have for yahweh.

It's consistently astounding to me that people can't (or won't) accept this simple fact.

Well here's something to burst your little bubble:

There's no evidence you will ever believe about Christ and the supernatural so quit wasting my time with your disingenuous queries.

How many healing services have you been to?

That's a load of horse manure. Do some reading other than left wing idiots.

The "left wing idiots" you're referencing are undoubtedly endlessly more educated than we can ever hope to be. In fact, the more intelligent someone is, the less likely they are to believe in gods. That's strange isnt it.

Yes, it tends towards the left because its essentially the rejection of a centralised power. However, atheism in itself isn't politically motivated so I'm a bit unsure why you'd bring that up if it wasn't a poir attempt at an insult?

None. How many buddhist healing ceremonies have you been to? They make the same claims. Do you believe in satan? In mexico, there is a big satanist movement where they savrifice chickens and stuff and claim to be able to heal you. Been to any of those?

Do you believe in mediums and spirituality? They all claim to be able to speak to the dead. Some even claim to marry ghosts. Have you ever been to a ghost wedding? If not, how could you possibly have grounds to doubt it happened?

Where's your evidence it's false?

Perhaps you should spend less time denying the validity of healing services and start investigating some. That would be a novelty for most skeptics.

You have no basis on which to tell me what I will or will not accept.

I've already told you, I want to believe true things. If what you say is true, I want to (and should) believe it.
The thing is, evidence for a thing is required for me to believe in that thing. You can't tell me that's not rational or reasonable.

You see, I have a person telling me that the God they believe in and worship is a real entity, that exists in reality. Do you really think it's too much to ask for me to ask you to verify your assertions about such things?

That hasn't been my experience - that left-wing theologians are infinitely more educated on Biblical matters. Most of the time they're anti-supernaturalists trying to rationalize Biblical miracles. Or they're making up wild Q theories or arguing against the Gospel Jesus, the resurrection, etc.

Tell me about some of the "true things" you believe about the Gospels and the life and/or miracles of Jesus?

Thats not my job. If I were to say I can fly, and my best mate confirmed it, would you believe me? Or would you have to prove it to be false? The burden of evidence rests on the shoulders of the person making the claim. The more extraordinary the claim, the higher the standard of evidence required to meet that burden.

Perhaps you should spend less time at healing services and more time at medical professionals. Or at least exercising your critical thinking skills. That would be a novelty for most theists.

If you say something is false then you should provide your basis and evidence for that.

I've actually done both - spent time with medical professionals and observing healing services, so I'm one up on you.
