Let's not forget governor's races:

The Laura Kelly win in the Kansas’s governor race is big. Kobach was one of the most Trump-aligned gubernatorial candidates in the country. Wary of Kobach, a slew of longtime Republican officials in the state had endorsed Kelly, the Democrat.

It sure is! A real nail biter!

I'm flipping between CNN and my local network. Looks like a good chance republicans will keep the Senate and democrats will likely take the house. Pretty much what was predicted. Still time for some surprises though.

The Associate Press says the Dems have now flipped 8 House seats, compared to 1 House seat flipping to the Republicans.

The Dems must flip a net 23 seats to take control of Congress.

Ocasio-Cortez has won her Congressional seat in New York. No surprises there. But score another one for the Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic Party.

A hidden story here is that the Dems generally sucked as campaigners. They were for the most part clowns when it came to waging hard hitting campaigns. They could have hit the Republicans hard on issue after issue, but they didn't. They focused on a couple issues and left it at that for the most part. Basically, if they win the House tonight, they stumbled into it.

If the Dems take the House, as it now looks like they will, it is not a sure thing Nancy Pelosi will be elected Speaker. Looks like she might face a challenger or two.

The Democratic performance tonight was pathetic. They should have won the House by a landslide not just squeaked by.

Some of the blame has to go to voter suppression. But the Democrats must take the lion's share of the blame, in my opinion. They suck as campaigners.
