Honestly I think the man was just a straight up liar.
1. A lot of his revelation was considered convenient. Even his wife Aisha pointed this out.
2. God seems to want to give Muhammad literally everything if you listen to Qur'an and Hadith.
3. The reaction he has to "revelation" seems to be an awful lot like epilepsy.
4. He changes **** only when it comes to himself.
He starts to seem like more of a liar than a lunatic to me.

38. Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise.
Quran (5:38) - "As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power." Keep in mind that the Quran promises the most severe of punishments for those who believe in one part of the Quran, but not the other (2:85). There is no such thing as moderate Islam. Those Muslims who reject cutting off hands for theft are disregarding an explicit rule in the Quran. This makes them subject to punishment from true believers, since they are hypocrites by definition (see 66:9).

Why to steal at first place, it's very bad behavior and the society should be clean of the robbers and the criminals,
but those who steal to survive won't be punished such as during the era of Umar bin Al-khatab he permitted stealing
because of needs but those who do it to steal the money of the others should be punished.

So it is a death sentence, but only if a Muslim steals from another Muslim.
What is the punishment if a Muslim steals from a non-Muslim?

Cutting off the hand isn't a death sentence and the punishment are the same regardless of
the victim's religion, also if the victim wanted to set free the thief then no punishment
will be done against the thief, for example if you saw the thief stealing your money from
your house and ran away, then knowing that punishment will be cutting his hand then
you may feel pity towards him and forgive him, it's up to the victim.

What he means is that stealing depends on context. If someone is poor and steals because he wants to feed himself and/or his family, then no punishment should be enforced. If someone steals out of greed then that is when it is enforced. And even the last point depends on whether the victim wants to carry this out or not. Forgiveness, if I recall correctly, is considered a good act. Don't quote me on this, I don't know if I'm remembering correctly. Also he didn't mention Muslims or non-Muslims, so I don't know why you even said that.
Note that I don't agree with this but this is what I read about Islam.

Introduce proper hygiene and sanitation to primitive cultures. Problem solved.
I don't know about other left-handed people, but I wipe with my right. I also thoroughly wash my hands so it's a moot point.

Posh folk use one of these arse hoses, they are quite good actually.
Many still use a jug of water and their hand though. Toilet paper is mostly a Western thing.
You get very few left handed people in these cultures, gets trained out of them. Also its considered impolite to pass things to others with your left hand.

The guy in the video just quoted narrations without the correct explanation but I guess that was his goal.
As muslims we eat with the right hand, shake hands with the right hand and when performing the small ablution we always start with the right hand. It's part of our Islamic tradition and personally I don't think it matters if you think these beliefs are stupid.
