What is being done now is similar to doubting in the existance of Washington because the Mexicans didn'twrite about it..

1) If George had come back from the dead in front of 500 mexicans they would have written about it.

2) There are collaborating sources for the existance of George. For Jesus there is one source The bible. No collbaration at all. What makes it worse is that Jesus was walking around doing the impossible...healing the sick, curing the blind, comeing back to dead.......yet outside the apostle club nobody seemed to deem it worth for recording.

Exactly the point I've been making, raising people from the dead would definitely get top billing on the news today, evidently, back in the supposed Jesus time, it was ho hum.

Ever think it was because if they thought (the people who didn't like Him or think He was the messiah) they ignored Him he'd go away. No press = going away, press if any kind=people knowing Him (which they didn't want)

It would seem to me that a person who could heal the sick and raise the dead would be quite a popular guy.

Proving the historic Jesus

EDITOR'S NOTE: This article does not debate the divinity nor the spiritual aspects of Christianity, but only the historical evidence that Jesus Christ did, in fact, exist. The recent finding of the burial cave of Caiaphas, the high priest, adds even more evidence to the general historical truth of the New Testament.

How do 500 people ignore somebody who comes back to life? I mean ignoring the guy with bad breath at the dinner table, or the person at the bus stop full of racist jokes or the fella sing out of tune to his walkman is one thing but.....a guy who comes back to life...and not a few people ignoring him but everybody in group of 500 that watched him come back to life?

Not if He claimed to be the Son of God and the Messiah to a group of people who didn't think He was.

They don't include Him in their history, or He was taken out on purpose.

Miraculous healings and miracles happen all the time around the world. It doesn't become the top story on the 10 o'clock news.

Exactly. I've known of people who've had miraculous healings, but are they going to call ABC or NBC or even CNN? No.

Exactly. Jews did not like the man in any way shape or form. Which is why they killed him. Why on earth would they praise him for anything? If people hate somebody that much, do you think they would honestley say "Yeah we hated his guts, but he did many great things like heal the sick and raise the dead. He even came back to life himself." Of course not. They would try to debunk any claim from a heretic.
