JW's Preach A Different Gospel

JFish123

Active Member
It is my opinion that everyone on the face of The Earth is preaching a "different gospel". Seeing that it was the Jehovah's Witnesses who exposed the fraud, they are the BEST ones imho. "No one is righteous, no, not one". Romans 3:9-12
I one is righteous, no not one. Doesn't that include the 'anointed'. 144,000. So why do they get special treatment as were all the same in need of a savior? The Watchtower changed it's doctrine. Before they said ALL JW's were the anointed and heaven bound, but when there membership surpassed 144,000 they changed it and invented a second group the 'great crowd' that would be on earth. If that's not interpreting the bible to fit your needs I don't know what is! :)

WOW!

Did Jesus ignore sinners? This guy was not an apostate, so why the shunning? He had never been a JW? He simply asked people if they imitated Jesus, and they treated him as though he were not even there.

I know right! Could you see Jesus or Peter, or Paul, or any of the Apostles just walking by someone like that and look the other way without even acknowledging them? It's like, they are taught if someone approaches them (defense), they are to shun, they can only talk to people when they go door-to-door (offense).

1Pe 3:13-17 (ESVST) 13 Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness 'sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, 15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16 having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.

"JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES" the only "TRUE" religion? God's "ONLY" people? The only "ORGANIZATION" with hope of everlasting life? The "ONLY" religion that does the will of God? The "ONLY" religion that imitates Jesus?

JW's, you are sincere people. I am humbled by your commitment to what you believe. But you need to see what it is you actually believe. Can one of you justify the actions of the JW's in the clip, who are at an "IMITATE JESUS" convention in light of the scriptures?

Do you honestly believe everything you read on the Internet? Heaven knows what they would have said about Jesus and his followers in the first century if the Internet had been available! :p

Non-JW's have the ability to think and judge for themselves. We have the ability to research and study everything to judge whether it is true or false. That is a privilege JW's don't have. JW's don't have the God given right and ability of "INDEPENDANT THINKING." We're not trained to believe we cannot trust our own thoughts. We believe that God made everyone unique, different, and with the ability to think and reason for ourselves. We don't need a group of self professed anointed men telling us what and how we should think and believe. That's why Christendom didn't sell everything they owned in the years leading to 1975. That's why people in Christendom have a good education and good jobs.

How many JW's died believing that the tribulation began in 1914?

*** w13 7/15 p. 8 par. 19 “Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?” ***

We first considered that the great tribulation did not begin in 1914 but will start when the United Nations attacks Babylon the Great.

How many JW's died believing Jesus' judgment of the sheep and goats began in 1014?

*** w13 7/15 p. 8 par. 19 “Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?” ***

Then, we reviewed why Jesus’ judgment of the sheep and the goats did not begin in 1914 but will occur during the great tribulation.

How many JW's died believing Jesus appointed all his belongings to the GB?

*** w13 7/15 p. 8 par. 19 “Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?” ***

Finally, we examined why Jesus’ arrival to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings did not occur in 1919 but will take place during the great tribulation.

*** w13 7/15 p. 8 par. 19 “Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?” ***

How does this adjusted view further affect our understanding of the illustration of the faithful slave?

Adjusted view? How are those previous statements "adjusted"? They weren't "adjusted" they were completely changed! Remember, (Zion’s Watchtower – February 1881, p. 3)
“New light” never extinguishes “older light” but adds to it. …So it is with the light of truth; the true increase is by adding to, not by substituting one for another.

*** w13 7/15 p. 8 par. 18 “Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?” ***
Indeed, a consideration of Jesus’ prophecy in its entirety makes it clear that each of these eight references to his coming applies to the future time of judgment during the great tribulation.

Isn't it plausible to say, "If they would have considered Jesus' prophecy in it's entirety the first time they wouldn't have made all the false predictions"?

Rutherford's Great Scam
In 1929, during the Great Depression, the president of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Joseph F. Rutherford, built himself a beautiful villa in San Diego which he used as his winter palace.

While most people were suffering greatly from the economic devastation of the Depression, Rutherford lived like royalty. He drank imported liquor, smoked big cigars, and drove a Cadillac.
Rutherford conned his Witness followers into believing that he had built the house for the soon returning patriarchs, judges, and kings named in Hebrews 11. He named the mansion "Beth Sarim," which in Hebrew means the House of Princes. In an interview with Time magazine in March of 1930, Rutherford said, "I have purposely landscaped the place with palm and olive trees so that these princes of the universe will feel at home."
At the time he built the house, Rutherford was predicting that any moment God would kill every man, woman and child on planet earth except faithful Jehovah's Witnesses. The biblical heroes of Hebrews 11 would then return to earth, and under the leadership of King David, they would use Beth Sarim as their headquarters to rule the world.
Most Jehovah's Witnesses today know nothing about this scam. The property was quietly sold in 1948, and the teaching that David and the patriarchs would soon return was dropped in 1950. Since that time, the Watchtower leaders have gone to great lengths to cover up this hoax.
In the deed it specifies that Joseph F. Rutherford is entitled to use the property as he sees fit until "the appearing of David or some of the other men mentioned in the Eleventh Chapter of Hebrews..." The deed goes on to specify that when King David appears, he must "prove or identify" himself to the officers of the Watchtower Society before he can take possession of the property!

Of course I'm quoting Paul! Why wouldn't I? He wrote by inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
........ See? Paul revelations direct from the Holy Spirit.
So that's why he didn't take much interest in what Jesus actually said or did, right?

You're questioning Paul's authority as a spokesperson for Jesus Christ, which has nothing to do with the thread topic.
Now just a sec....... you've already explained to me that Paul received his revelations direct from the Holy Spirit.
But since you mention it, Paul did not quote Jesus very much, did he?

The topic of the thread is about JW's preaching another gospel. It is not about the authenticity of the Scriptures.
I got that........ you want to challenge JW's interpretation of the Gospel, then you quote Galatians. Look, since you challenge one interpretation, surely I can challenge your interpretation?

Hi....! :D
Look, 1929 is nine decades ago. You're suggesting that because Rutherford was 'not good' in various ways that the JWs should crash and burn.....?
If all creeds followed your suggestions, all creeds would end. The Borgias might be excuse enough for the Vatican to close down! :D

Grasp these two facts.
1. There isn't a following or group that has not had a naughty or misguided human at its head.
2. JWs are expanding so fast that they have to split up their congregations until such time as they can build much bigger Halls!

So JWs can't be doing everything wrong.
If you can't find something dreadful about the JWs in the last decade you might just as well take up bowling, or golf, or chess or whatever.... :D

How about 2015? I have already posted this video, but to emphasize my current point, I'm posting it again. Please watch the video and then read the wonderful way the witnesses are "striving" to "ABOLISH" hatred. And their "DETERMINATION" to "IMITATE" Jesus. And again, I can't emphasize enough that I am not attacking JW's personally, it's the GB and the WTBTS that bares the blunt of my attack.

*** w95 6/15 p. 8 An End to Hatred Worldwide *** (I know this is 2 decades old, but has it been "ALTERED" by "NEW LIGHT"?
Yes, the international society of Jehovah’s Witnesses is living proof that hatred can be abolished. Whatever their background, the Witnesses are striving to replace prejudice with mutual respect and to eliminate any vestige of tribalism, racism, or nationalism. One basis for their success is their determination to imitate Jesus Christ in displaying love guided by principle. Another basis is that they look to God’s Kingdom to bring an end to any injustice they may be suffering.

The Jehovah's Witnesses have morality though many times it misplaced to abide in their Watchtower organization.
They forbid blood transfusions for its members because they grossly mistranslate bible verses which people have ACTUALLY DIED FROM because of this false interpretation.

Families have been broken up because they are told to SHUN even family members that leave the organization as there considered "Apostates."

but the problem isn't just their morals are askew, and bound to whatever the Watchtower says, but they get everything wrong for an "inspired prophet." Dozens of Prophecies failed over and over.

The Jehovahs Witnesses entered the year 2000 with a different kind of Y2K problem. Exactly eleven years earlier the Watchtower leaders told Jehovah's Witnesses that the Christian missionary work begun by Paul in the Bible would be completed by the end of the 20thCentury - or did they? It would all depend on which version of The Watchtower you read.

The January 1, 1989 Watchtower clearly pointed to the year 2000as the farthest limit of Christian missionary work and thus the beginning of the thousand-year reign of Christ. It stated, "The apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century."1

If that missionary work was to "be completed in our 20th Century" then the door-to-door missionary activities should have ceased no later than December 31, 1999. When the missionary work has ceased, Jehovah's Witnesses know that Armageddon begins followed immediately by the 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth. Those who more accurately measure the 20th Century can give the Society twelve more months - to December 31, 2000. Either way, in 1989 the Society was clearly limiting the remaining time before the end of missionary activity to eleven or twelve years at most.

About a year later, however, the Watchtower Society altered the article in the bound volume version of the publication removing the time limitation. The bound volume of the same article states "The apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. He was also laying a foundation fora work that would be completed in our day."2

Notice that unlike "in our 20th Century," the phrase "in our day" is sufficiently vague as to avoid being tested according to Deuteronomy 18:20-28.3 It also may be significant to note that the unbound version is the one studied by the Jehovah's Witnesses in their weekly meetings and distributed door-to-door. The bound volumes did not become available until over a year later.

John 16:13-15 (ESVST) . 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

I've found it more politically correct to refer to the WT/GB as making "FAILED PREDICTIONS" as apposed to false prophecies, since they have never "claimed" to be prophets.

Yawn......... that old chestnut! :D
OK.... I'll bite.
I'm prepared to bet you that more people die in the UK in one year from falling down stairs than from refusing blood transfusions in the whole world. These people chose to live in homes with multiple floors, but I don't expect that you rant on about staircases or folks who choose to use them. Or would you like to use gun-deaths in the USA in one year?
And pleeease don't go on about kiddies dying for lack of blood, or I'm going to want to know what you've done about child abuse in your country, and child homicides. Get it? Your case is pathetic!

Families have been broken up because they are told to SHUN even family members that leave the organization as there considered "Apostates."
Many religions estrange apostates. I was estranged (as far as possible) by Bahais when I left. But in some religions you get slaughtered for apostasy... so what are you doing about that?
I am estranged from my family because I find no peace or harmony betwixt it and myself, so I don't faint at the thought of estrangement.

but the problem isn't just their morals are askew, and bound to whatever the Watchtower says, but they get everything wrong for an "inspired prophet." Dozens of Prophecies failed over and over.
Now that's where you are totally wrong. JWs around here have a reputation for being the most trustworthy and honest folks that you could ever meet or do business with. Their morals are generally impeccable. In my last faith, a Canterbury follower got jailed for conning elderly folks of their life savings, but it doesn't mean that all members of that faith are bad, does it?

Well clearly you are absorbed in them all, trawling for anything to chuck at them. Improve the quality of your life..... drop it and take up 'cinema' or something. :D

.....Oh please........ you're boring me.
I am not a JW because my beliefs are different to theirs, but they just have to be one of the most amazingly decent groups of people I have ever met in my life. Their faith in Hitler's concentration camps shows just how strong their characters were then, and I think they still are.

You can't have any faith close to theirs, or you would be promoting it, rather than bashing theirs..... true?

I don't have sound on this laptop....... I stripped it to speed it up and accidentally chucked out sound as well. :D
So just tell me who made it, what it's message is, etc.
A man caliing himself Christian went to a convention of JWs and asked all those who passed by him if they imitate Jesus. That is all he said to each one. "Do you imitate Jesus". Obviously they were warned about him and most likely they were told to ignore him. Only one person answered him with "yes, of course we do". The other one who stopped to talk to him seemed to have made a mistake and corrected herself right away. The point of the video is that they are taught not to think for themselves. Which is a good thing or a bad thing, according to you?

So because children and people die from falling down the stairs it excuses the Jehovahs Witnesses actions that result in deaths? Wow.
So because some others faiths shun it make it ok theirs does it? Wow.
I could make a defense for Jeffrey Dahmer not being bad because even though he ate people he wasn't Hitler :p Yawn
Evil is still evil regardless if others do it or not my friend. That's the Truth.
And yes, I know Jehovahs Witnesses personally. They do have good morals, but it doesn't give them a free pass when they don't.

It's a video of a gentleman at a 2015 JW "IMITATE JESUS" convention in California. It doesn't matter if he claims to be a Christian or not. He's standing outside as hundreds of JW's walk by and he's asking them if they imitate Jesus. Only "ONE" lady, (probably the only anointed one there) said yes, every other person looked away and just walked by without saying a word. You don't need sound to see the clear arrogance of these people.

I agree, we're in no way promoting our faith on this forum. We don't try to shine the "LIGHT" of "TRUTH" on the deception of the WT. All we're doing is bashing them.
