Can someone explain the Trinity please...

I am not wrong. I am telling you what the trinity doctrine teaches.

it definitely come down to interpretation... remember the book is speaking to you in very broad terms, as if we are children.

I don't really know much about a trinity doctrine... in fact I don't think I've ever heard of it.

Jesus is God imo and the book is describing different aspects.

Why would you call me wrong then when I was explaining the trinity doctrine?

[God was in the tent and in the temple. God walked among His people.]
Not phyisically. God never came to earth. He was working through his spirit or dwelling somewhere or working through His angels. God manifestation. If God came to earth we would die in His presence.
God can manifest Himself so that an angel came speak as God. We read stories of angels saying to someone, "I am the Lord God. "

Remember that God dwelled between the cherbum on the ark. God never actually Himself was there, but His power, His Glory was there.
Not true! Genesis 18
Yaweh came to earth as a MAN and conversed with Abraham.

18 The Lord (YAWEH in the Hebrew) appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. 2 Abraham looked up and saw three MEN standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. (emphasis mine)

the Trinity is simple... God came into human flesh (incarnate) so we may better understand him and communicate with him, and he with us.

I find it a strange notion that when man became sinful, his direct communication with his perfect God was cut off and the need for a mediator was instituted. (1 Tim 2:5) We are instructed to direct all communication to the Father through the mediator he provided as the 'go between'. Our prayers go to the Father through Jesus Christ. Correct?

Using simple logic....why is it that we cannot have direct communication with the Father who is God...and yet humans could communicate directly with Jesus whom many believe was "fully God" in the flesh? If was fully God both before and after his earthly mission as well, why can we communicate directly through him? It makes no sense.

If we need a mediator between us and Jehovah...why do we not need a mediator between us and Jesus whom you believe is the same God? o_O

think of it this way... the Wright Brothers designed then created their plane, then they decided to fly it!

I think of it this way.....the Father created his "firstborn" son and together they brought the rest creation into existence. (Col 1:15, 16)

Since the Bible says that all creation came "through" Jesus in his pre-human existence, then the son is the agency of creation but the Father is the originator...the Creator....the one who brought all the raw materials including matter into existence. Jesus fashioned or fabricated it all into what we see. (Prov 8:30, 31)

It's not rocket science.....it just means we have to take the scriptures for what they actually say and eliminate all the rubbish that the churches have added over the centuries.

The apostle Paul said it plainly....it needs no explanation...

"5 For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him." (1 Cor 8:5, 6)

Paul did not say that Jesus Christ is part of the "one God" recognised by both Jews and the first Christians. He called his Father "the only true God" and called himself "the one you sent forth". (John 17:3)

"Consequently, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest whom we confess—Jesus." (Heb 3:1)

Jesus was not God, but an "apostle" of God, sent forth to offer his life for mankind. He did not have to be God to fulfill this mission. Being created in no way diminishes or demeans him because he is a divine being who is God's "firstborn" son. He is the second most important personage in existence.....but he is not and never was Almighty God. He did not have to be. :)

Angels came to earth as God's messengers and spoke for God, often in the first person. YAHWEH has never come to earth as a human.

No, he didnt. No one at anytime has seen God. Read the verses and think about it. God does not change into men. God does not go down to our level. God works "through" angel too dont forget.

And the angel of the LORD said, I am the LORD your God. .......... Angels reprent God and the can speak "as" God too. It is God manifestation.

Numbers 12:8
With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?"

Again, you just pick and choose your verses to fit your beliefs. Doesnt the bible tell us that "no one" has seen God at anytime? No man. No one. So.... in those verses God is speaking through His angels that represent Him.

Read Exodus 3. That is God manifestation right there!!!
Exodus 23 starting at verse 20. God working through angels. "For My name is in him".

God does not come to earth, His angels do that for Him. They act for Him and speak for Him.

Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

Exodus 33
19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”
21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”

Did you read that?

God is invisible and lives in unapproachable light. So then, how did Moses see God's back? Moses seen God's back because Jesus is God made visible.

John 1:18 No human eye has ever seen God: the only Son, who is in the Father's bosom--He has made Him known.

Jesus was a mystery in the Old Testament. However, he was still God's Word, God's voice. He was still God made visible. He was still God.

No.... it was an angel. Jesus wasnt born yet. I think we already went throught that about Jesus. Jesus wasnt born yet.

But let me ask you this... Jesus as immortal and mortal at the same time on earth I take it? 100% God and 100% man?

Yes

Oh how I love the Word of God!
Genesis 32:26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
27 The man asked him, “What is your name?”
“Jacob,” he answered.
28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”
But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there.
30 So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

Who was this man? This man I believe was God with a body, Jesus Christ, yet still not known as Jesus Christ.

Notice that it was dark, and Jacob probably did not see his face...yet, he is still noted as saying he saw God face to face. Notice that when it is said Moses spoke to God face to face, it was still God speaking to Moses from the cloud, yet Moses sees God's form.

The Bible says that Jesus is the first born over all creation, and that God made everything through Jesus.

God made Himself a body, the glorified body of the Man Jesus, who was yet to come in the flesh.

After Jesus died in the flesh, he went back to God's presence and received his glorified body back, the same body he had with God before the creation of anything.

Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Which creation? Paul says that there is two creations. In Adam and in Christ. Christ is the second creation dont forget. Colossians is NOT saying that Jesus was here at the beginning of creation before Adam.

The scripture is saying Jesus was here at the beginning of creation before Adam.

That scripture says it, and so do other scriptures.
