Too many religions

One major reason for me, that keeps me from being a theist, is that there are too many religions. People seem to concentrate on one religion with blinders on and ignore everything else. How can a theist look at all the religions they don't belong to, past and present, and not wonder if their religion is just as made up or fictitious as all the religions they don't believe in? What makes today's gods more reasonable and credible than past gods like Zeus, Ra, and Odin? Religion still boils down to people believing incredible claims with zero evidence to support any of it. Additionally, if there was a god that wanted to communicate a message to us, I think it would be capable of doing a much better job of it then sending a middle man to preach it in one corner of the world to one group of people. A true god would be capable of sending multiple prophets to multiple people in the world with the same message at the same time. However, we don't see that.

Proof you hold the religious books to science today and you use your common sense and you will easliy be able to tell truth from falsehood becuase truth is like the full moon in a dark night. Of all the religions I've looked at so far Islam has stood out to be the best and most truthful and consistant if you don't believe me see for your self

By the way In Islam God has sent a prophets throught the history of man kind to lead them away from worshiping creation(trees, rocks, animals, stars, plants, nature, anscestors, other people,) and told the the prophets to teach that man should only worship his Creator and sustainer and the sustainer of the world

Is there something wrong using unbiased observation and rational thought to judge what claims are credible and which are not?

I know that Islam claims that god has sent prophets at different times to the world. I find that claim unconvincing. If there were prophets preaching the same thing, that appeared at the same time on different continents, that would be convincing. That would prove an outside, non-human influence existed. However, we don't see that. We see people showing up years and years later after someone else in the same general area, preaching the same general message. So, I'm unconvinced a divine entity was ever really involved.

One could easily say the "Four Horsemen" of atheism are prophets by the same logic, since they are all in the same period teaching the same thing.

So, if I claim the moon is made of cheese, and I get enough people to claim the moon is made of cheese, and we all claim to be prophets, do we get to claim the One True Religion?

So you view peer pressure as a valid reason to hold a belief in extraordinary claims? If half the world believed in invisible underpants gnomes would you believe in them too?

You just proved MY point. They were in the same geographical area, preaching the same message. How does that show anything but one person (who obviously) heard the prior persons message and carried it on. As well as adding to it as they went. Nothing about that proves there was influence from a divine source.

The difference between the religions are about which prophets are right.

If you cannot see the parallels between my statements and yours, your claims of being "rational minded" must be based on a different dictionary than mine.

But very well: demonstrate a miracle to me. Demonstrate a proof. I'm waiting.

Mr Justwondering every religion in the world including athiesm believes in an absolute being which has always exsisted and will always exsist (athiest believe matter cannot be destroyed or created and that matter is and will always be ) after time people with evil intentions corrupted them and worshiped along with the one God others that had no right to be worshiped
