intuitivly ifeel no such existent. logically i see no evidence no of said god being worthy.
anyways i do not think i understand your reply to my question.
Tried to give an understanding of faith in logic but its almost impossible.
God knows your ways are far from His ways. All you can do is try to reach Him in your ways because thats all you know right? I believe He can see you trying to climb the mountain and He is not judging you according to what path you are starting out on but looking at your heart and the intent of your efforts.I believe all paths will lead to the top if getting to know God is your hearts intentions. It is best to al least try and climb the mountain the best you know how (faith)m because if you don't take the effort then you know without doubt you will never see the glory and splendor that is revealed from the top.

do you think the commandments or other scriptures have any validity then?
Of course I do, but that is clearly a much different question than that posed by the OP. From my perspect, its question is simply not meaningful. I suspect that a covenant with godliness is far more important that the pariculars of ones religion or lack of one.

Not really just validated the question through scripture.... did you mean godly or goodly?

which is worse not believing in God/Allah?YWH or beiliving in the wrong form of God or another god(s) all together.

Pascals wager always made me wonder if the safe bet is on God because if you wrong so what but i god exist and you do not believe then the consequences are dire, but what about choosing the wrong god? Wouldn't atheism be the safe bet this way you do not risk offending the god by worshiping the wrong one?

What law or demand is written for humans to believe in anything?

Humans create language symbols for the purpose of labeling visible and invisible words that they call "things."

The word "tree" is not the "tree," just a language symbol that people agree with.

i understand what your saying but i do not see the relevance...

as for which laws demand humans believe i don not know of any only ones that tell us what to believe in. ...not that they have any validity.

Humans have "faith" in words.

so having some faith can lead to the right place? what on the unfaithful who still climb the mountain just to see?

Then you will have to try and build your own tower and God frowns on that.
Where did the tower come from? i just want to see the overview and enjoy the climb. how is a life spent honestly seeking and learning anything worse?

the OP asked for individuals to respond according to their subjective understanding of what their god is...

Well they would have to use words. So if you agree with the meanings of those words then you would agree with their gods.

i don't think i see how those two have to go hand in hand.

also do you mean literal interpretation? ie 10 commandments do not say anything about none believer only about people of the wrong faith?

or did i miss your point entirely?

The Torah tells Jews to have no other gods and to not take up the gods of their neighbors. It describes their covenant with God and the laws they must obey.

What you do is up to you.

Personally, I'm an "all paths to God" kind of guy, and I think that all theists are worshiping the same God. We just understand it differently.

As for atheists, why would it matter? If there is nothing else, then it's irrelevant.
Again, my personal opinion is that what you do in life os more important than what you believe; if there some form of eternal punishment out there, I don't think it's going to full of atheists.

Nope. You used the word God in the OP so you used a word. That word God has a meaning that You believe in. So you agree with all the words an individule would use for God.

I am sure God is aware as to the reasons some people have a misconception of God or why they don't believe. People are at different stages and have different understandings of God, so I doubt it would matter much to Her at all.

Lets say the goal is to get a thorn out of the foot. The important thing is to get it out, how it got in there does not matter. Faith just pulls it out and no need to analize it unless one tries to control reality as to not get another thorn in the foot.
Its what one looks out for that one finds. It is best to look out for good things and see them then to look out for the bad.
Sort of like taking the pro peace instead of anti- war view in life. Both destinations may be the same but the view of the beauty in pro peace far succeeds the other.
