Satan has religions?

Isn't this just some guy who's really proud and thinks he's awesome? I forget the guy's name who it's supposed to be of right now. I think Cyrus the Great? Dunno for sure. Don't hold me on that.

Of course, I dunno if you were providing it because you believed it, or to show where people get it from. :)

Well its really funny how christians try to spin Isaiah 14 for their agenda.
If they would actually read the chapter they could read something along the lines.

"4 that thou shalt take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say: How hath the oppressor ceased! the exactress of gold ceased!"

The author of the text even adressed the person in question. King of the Neo Babylonian Empire, Nebuchadnezzar II.

Dont confuse him with Cyrus the great. Who was a moshiach to us as you can read in Isaiah 45.

HaSatan is an angel. Perhaps not even a specific angel.
He serves HaShem like all angels do.

And there was no rebellion against HaShem nor will there ever be one.

"7 I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am the LORD, that doeth all these things."

That's the one!

I knew Cyrus the Great didn't sound right. I blame Nebuchadnezzar for having a rather difficult name to spell. :D

I dont understand how the information contained in the bible is so easily missed by so many.
There is more then enough information in there to understand who Satan is and how God feels about him.

TO YOU.

Not to those who willingly understand the Opposition.

I find it humorous how christians of various stripes will inflate certain tiny verses taken very much out of context, and pretend that they are "prophecy", or claim that they are about something entirely different than what they are actually about. I think the cause of this may be the fault of a) the clergy of many denominations having a personal agenda for whatever reason, b) the adherents often being too lazy to do their own research/the adherents being too narrow-minded and fragile to even entertain thinking for themselves(outside the tiny little box they are mentally crammed into).
I have found that pointing out these things in detail to someone who prefers to remain willfully ignorant on the subject (to protect a pet belief) will often result in all sorts of logical fallacies, circular reasoning, and a host of other mental gymnastics designed to keep them from thinking rationally and intelligently about the subject. I find that most often, the problem starts in the indoctrination process. They are fed snippets of scripture taken out of context with a particular spin added to the meaning that is often a reflection of the prejudices and assumptions of the (often poorly educated, and dull-minded) minister, or religious authority who imparts the information.
It is also funny how Christians often completely disagree about the meaning of certain verses with traditional Jewish folks who usually have a better grasp on the Tanakh (old testament).

It is indeed humourous. Hence the term, "programming", and continual descent and segregation of the "One thousand" plus different branches of Christianity.

Not to mention, how often the Christians disagree with others who share the same Abrahamic origin.

You gotta give it to the guys on top though, there has to be some source of genuine intellect in order for thousands of people to adhere to it's strict and specious policies.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

I may be simpleminded, but I figure, if Job is the oldest scripture; then Job 7 is the definitive answer. From the earth. Dust, comes from the earth, the dust of which we were formed; dust, within, Satan. Breath of life, spirit, God. That when we walk in life, we carry the elemental satan; it is our choice, at the end of such walk, to let satan carry us down, or to return to god.

I know where I'm going...

That other satan, don't know who yer talking about.

You seemed to have sparked an inspiration in me. :D

Satan literally means "Opposition", or "Adversary", which leads one to belief that every religion and existence is of a Satanic origin, simply because something that is not the same as itself, is in Opposition to everything else.

Yes, yes, yes! Satan has many religions, including Christianity!

Hehe, those little devils knew exactly what they were talking about, though they projected an image that they themselves were excluded from such hypocrisy!

Man, I love subtle rhetorics :D

Come on Jehovah witness. I really appreciate your religion and it's push for the necessity of the Holy Spirit, but I deeply disagree that our life ends with this one (without it). I mean come on, all is eternal. You gotta think Pi!

What are you, trying to convert Satan worshipers? lol

Jesus did not commit himself to them, because he knew all men and had no need that anyone should testify for man, because he knew what was in man. John 2:24-25

Say that again, but in English and with an explanation.

You are ignorant as to what pi is, HUMAN?

Do your own research on this one, geez.

Someone is certainly ignorant.

This, explain the meaning behind it.

It means I'm not going to feed someone truth, just so they can spit it back at my face and bite me.
A mistake believers always seem to make.
Matthew 7:6 Jesus said, "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces."

Peace.

I can say the moon is made out of cheese and claim it to be truth, would you ask for proof?

Sounds more like you are afraid that your interpretation will be met with objections and you wish only to avoid being made look foolish.

Prove me wrong.
I dare you.

*shakes his head* All I really want is calm, sensible debate.

I didn't know people would get so hurt over my opinions.
You gotta be really careful with those who wear their faith on their sleeves like some sort of badge.
Most of them are going to go out of their way to be offended.
Makes it much easier for them to play the self appointed martyr you know.

well the universe is not eternal...it had a beginning therefore it is not eternal

well the universe is not eternal...it had a beginning therefore it is not eternal

The universe, in it's most stable theory of creation, was created by the big bang.

Which, could have just been the compression of all of it's matter back into a small point, for it to be exploded into space again.

Really, this could have happened an infinite number of times before.
