Why does God not follow the Golden Rule? His best rule?

Why does God not follow the Golden Rule? His best rule?

I have a hard time seeing God as --- doing unto others as he would want done to himself --- in the clip above. I cannot see God wanting someone to do what he did to the women who owned those wombs to him. He is therefore certainly not walking his talk or fallowing his own good advice.

It seems that people are more responsible than God as we are trying to get everyone on board the Golden Rule that God ignores.

How can you conclusively determine that G-d is not following the Golden Rule?
To do that, you would have to know what the Plan ultimately is. For what Purpose G-d is doing everything that He does. How G-d is doing what He does. And be able to analyze the past and future of everything to determine that in light of it all, G-d is not following His Golden Rule.

Can you do that?

No. All I can do is ask the question based on what the bible says and it says that God does not follow the Golden Rule.

Do you agree or not, based on the bible?

So throwing the 'golden rule' in God's face will make Him turn away?
it might.

Or were you making this offering of postwork to defame His ability to stand back and let be?

Do you really believe God is right there every time a molecule breaks?

I have never chained God to His creation.
I don't think I have that authority.

As far as I can tell, god either leaves us completely alone or picks and chooses favorites to help out now and then. So either ignore god or pick a favorite :)

Scriptures say you do and are to judge all things.

What authority took that away from you and why would you ignore the authority of scriptures that tell you to do so?

I have chosen a God that makes sense and is not a vile demiurge with satanic morals.

Maybe we're looking for God too far away and then attributing human attributes to Him?

When I seek God, I know where to look.

Jesus said, "If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is

in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they

say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will

precede you. Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is

outside of you. [Those who] become acquainted with [themselves]

will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you

will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living

Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty

and it is you who are that poverty."

As to your reference to human attributes, if God does not have human attributes then why would anyone think his is fit to rule mankind?

We are not aliens and should not follow an alien God.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Do you have children?
Seems to be an off topic question, but actually it is not.

All parents are hypocrites.
They have to be.
what makes you think god is any different?

I have no problem in seeing God's hypocrisy. I see it in his followers all the time.

That aside.

I have 4 children and have never said do as I say and not as I do to them.

When there were contradictions I simply explained the age related difference.

If God is such a prick that he cannot inform us in that way, along with his poor moral saying, then he is not worthy of his title or of leading mankind.

Ah, so you let your children have sex at whatever age then, right?
You allow them to drink alcohol at any age, right?
Do you allow them to drive to the store for the alcohol and condoms?

You may never have used the exact wording "do as I say, not as I do", but you have enforced the principle.
Or do you allow your children to do whatever they want whenever they want?

Well, I guess if there is a verse that says G-d does not follow the golden rule, I can't argue with that.

I do not have a reading problem.
Nor do I have a reading comprehension problem.

The problem here is your denial.
