I can't determine how to respond to that question without understanding what you mean by spirits. That's why I asked. The term is used in different ways in different cultures and traditions. I don't want to assume we're operating by the same understanding, because we probably are not, and those differences will have significant implications on the turn of the conversation.
I do.
I understand "spirit" to mean the essence and nature of something in its totality. That is, the "spirit" of a dog is all that is dogness - the four footedness and fang and fur, the behaviors and ways of life, the stories sung and told of dogs, and so on. Is this at all analogous to how you define "spirit?"
I'd generally agree with this - everything influences everything in the interconnected tapestry of reality, though the degrees of interrelation can vary. The vast majority of reality/spirits I will never directly cross paths with given how infinitesimally small my occupancy in time and space is.
Could you explain in a fashion that isn't obtuse?
I follow a mystery tradition - I get the whole thing of secrets hiding in plain sight, obfuscatory language, experienced-based knowledge, blah, blah, blah. Beyond a certain point, obfuscation derails into flim flam. If you can't present something in plain language, work on getting there. And yes, you are at fault if you're not there.
