Novels With a Religious Base That Makes One Think

I'm generally a big reader and have happened across some amazing works when it comes to religious thought that have given me insight, fresh perspectives, or sometimes chuckles with teary eyes.

Share some you've been inspired by. Again NOVELS -- fiction tales, even if the plot setting has non-fiction ties.

Here's a few of mine:
Good Omens, by Pratchett & Gaiman
Betrayal, The Lost Life of Jesus, by
Kathleen O'Neal Gear
Lamb, by Christopher Moore
Confessions of a Pagan Nun, by
Kate Horsley
The Highland Witch, by Susan Fletcher
And two from my youth:
Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse
Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley

Excellent. I haven't read any of those but have heard good things.
