How are your tomatoes?

The place I'm currently staying at grows tomatoes. I find few foods that delight me as much as a freshly ripened tomato right off of the vine.

They taste a bit different than the ones from the store.

Tomatoes off the vine are easily my favorite garden food. Do you have a favorite? :)

I like the little cherry ones that you go outside with the intent of picking and bring into the fridge, but instead return with an empty bowl and a full tummy.

I should have staked mine better. I like yellow tomatoes. I like all fresh garden food. We have yellow snap beans, broccoli chard, kale, zuchini, potatoes, and beets this year. But you're right tomato is awesome. Next to tomato, I'd go for a freshly dug potato. Little butter, little salt ... mmm.
