This is how wars start. At least 35% cooked meat? I seem not to have eaten a sandwich for more than 40 years. Incredible!

Rubbish. They just want to represent as much of the food-to-go market as possible. A wrap is a wrap; it's not a sandwich.

Yes the name seems embroiled in mystery. Looking on tinterweb, what it actually constitutes seems rather variable too. Anyhoo, the sandwich wasn't invented by the earl; named after maybe, but not invented.
