Trump, COVID-19, and expressions of concern.

I thought this commentary was rather amusing, about the effect of this news on Trump's followers:

Anyway, as Trump pointed out last week, the virus “affects virtually nobody”, and has currently only affected 200,000 American nobodies to death. Arguably the real victims here are the president’s MAGA disciples, who are devoted to him but also don’t believe the virus even exists. Trump being officially diagnosed with it is category 5 cognitive dissonance – a logical contradiction so intense it could crash their circuitry, causing them to immediately lay down their assault rifles and open a chain of abortion clinics.

Oh cut it out. None of you here are concerned. You've wanted an excuse to get him out of office since day one. You don't even know why you want him out of office (the elites want him out of office, because he threatens the status quo of slimy lawyer politicians; so they convinced you he's bad), but now that he's a little sick you behave like sharks considering closing in on a seal.

Yeah, don't trust the slimy lawyer politicians. Trust the slimy corporate president who lies about absolutely everything lol.

I didn't need anyone to tell me Trump was bad news. Being atrocious with businesses, negotiation, scummy towards women, the environment, LGBT, disabled folks and veterans did that enough.

That said, I dont want Trump to die. Both because I don't like Pence much better but also because I'd just rather him stop being able to do further harm. And you don't need death for that.

I am truly saddened to see that people could be gleeful that another human being is suffering from a life threatening illness.

It's difficult to see for the people who like and respect Trump, yes. But for some of us, it creates a very torn moment - like, does a mouse mourn the death of the cat chasing it? He's been bad for a lot of minority groups, and not just African Americans but it spans the LGBT community, identity minorites, too. Then there's also some bad foreign policy.

His actions have been the illness, harm, and death of thousands of Americans, and even those abroad where people have acted on his words. And that's just considering his atrocities regarding covid. He has caused so much damage, disrupted so any lives, discarded so many rights it's practically impossible for some of us to feel sad, relief even that should he die then his insanity ends.
Then we can have our normal insanity minus a belligerent bunghole who treats the nation like a reality show of no consequences.
It's easier to deal with real issues that matter when the president isn't dismissing a pandemic as a hoax of the opposition party. Serves him right. Unfortunately the damage he has done has effected thousands upon thousands of people who aren't him.

I think it serves the b****** right.

And, as someone quipped in this morning's paper, I wish him a lengthy recovery. :D

How has he been bad for African-Americans?
