So, I see no thread already dedicated to this topic and I would love to talk about it.
Anyone else reading DC Universe Rebirth? Wow. It blew my mind. I love comics of all kinds from different companies. DC is my favorite, though. Batman and Wonder Woman are easily my favorite comic book characters. Honestly, DC has not been as good as Marvel the past few years. It pains me to say it, but I gotta be honest with myself. While there are some things I really loved about the New 52, (Azzarello's run on Wonder Woman being the high point for me, alongside most of what Snyder did on Batman) overall it has been disappointing as it really did attempt to erase so much of DC's rich history. Superman isn't involved with Lois Lane? Stupid. No JSA? Unforgivable. I could go on, and if you are a longtime DC fan, I know you could, too.
Rebirth changes all of that! I read the one shot that kicks it all off and just finished reading the Wonder Woman Rebirth one shot about an hour ago. Fan-freakin'-tastic! Will be back to my shop in the next day or so to pick up the first issue of the new ongoing Wonder Woman along with the Batman one shot and new ongoing series.
Now, if you are wondering, it is NOT a simple reboot. It is something much cooler. Ok, here comes the spoilers! Wally West! Dr. Manhattan! I was about to press and on and write a few more paragraphs; but, I will wait and see if anyone here even wants to talk about Rebirth...
