Ideally it would be best if noone had guns, however, that is unattainable. Especially somewhere like america where gun culture is pretty widespread.
What is "gun culture" exactly?

that's for sure very very rare , for sure Algeria is not out space .Except its not. There are many people in Algeria with illegal guns. Not to the extent pro-gun people would say, but pretending algeria is some gun-free wonderland is just not true.
That is one thing that kinda makes us uniquely American.I'd really rather not live under a government that tells me that I can't have a handgun, rifle or a shotgun for personal protection or for hunting.
let's suppse that you want to go outside your country , for exemple Europe, Egypt...etc , how you protect your self ? how about Americans "outside" whom lived in other countries ?I'd really rather not live under a government that tells me that I can't have a handgun, rifle or a shotgun for personal protection or for hunting.
Forgive me as this question wasn't to me specifically, but if I was in another country I would respect the law of that land. In the state I live in if you carry a permit you can carry most places. Exceptions being schools or Govt. buildings and anywhere a business owner forbids it.let's suppse that you want to go outside your country , for exemple Europe, Egypt...etc , how you protect your self ? how about Americans "outside" whom lived in other countries ?
just question :
Is allowed to carry you gun all time ? even in market or cinema ?
this is the point , so it's not all time and all places you can protect your self "by gun"Forgive me as this question wasn't to me specifically, but if I was in another country I would respect the law of that land. Affirmative.this is the point , so it's not all time and all places you can protect your self "by gun"
In answer to an earlier question as to whether we would leave the country because of laws we don't like. No in general we don't leave, we just vote for people we believe will uphold the will of the people and then hope they will.Affirmative.
Very interesting topic especially considering the international nature of this forum. The concept of our second amendment is alien to many countries in the world. I have a friend from England who thinks we are nuts to have the kind of gun rights we have here in the USA. My wife is from another country that has very restrictive gun laws and she doesn't really understand it either.
because I don't take the habit to see someone "civilian" carry gun around me , i find it really scary to know that my neigherbors had guns ,the accident happened all times , as last one in Oregon campus .Thanks for starting this topic Godobeyer. This is a divisive subject inside the USA. Its interesting to see others views from around the world.
Saint Frankenstein
let's suppose that your country made a law against what you wish , so you leave your country for that !!!
I think it really has a lot to do with where you were raised. In some parts of the USA they have very restrictive gun laws in others not so much. And I promise...I'm not nuts.I'm from the UK too (Wales) and I think it's nuts as well
Well said brother. One of the reasons I left California is for that, even though not a country...most parts are too restrictive and it isn't a very gun-friendly state. I've always been involved in military, law enforcement, security services, etc. occupations but it's about the people all together, not me.
My entire adult life has been around loaded guns, I like it that way and I'll always support it
The larger and more diverse we get in sub-cultures, ethics, values, parenting, economic opportunity, etc. makes it rather stupid to live in certain areas unarmed. If you look at more rural, old fashioned places - with neighbors rather than strangers - firearms violence is practically non-existent...on par with several European countries. We don't all live there though and a lot of jobs, homes, schools are in more urban areas that reflect America of yesterday only in name and hotdogs.
Absolutely, I welcome your views. But in the case of the Oregon tragedy..If only they had had an armed security guard the outcome may have been different. We will never know. May God bless the families who suffered in that senseless attack.because I don't take the habit to see someone "civilian" carry gun around me , i find it really scary to know that my neigherbors had guns ,the accident happened all times , as last one in Oregon campus .
for my personal opinion which based on my life (which empty of guns) : I find it not safe that people around me carry guns .
I like exchange opinions and views .
as you told me that you police , i am really confused why you agree that civilians carry guns !!! for my opinion it's not safety for youOne of the reasons I left California is for that, even though not a country...most parts are too restrictive and it isn't a very gun-friendly state.
