Age of Earth

Atheistically
it's gotten to the point where everyone is just denying the truth

No.

It is to the point very few are agreeing with your personal view of nature that goes against all education and knowledge taught worldwide.

What is truth to you, may not be truth to anyone else. It very well may be the opposite.

I love the sciences dealing with the formation of this planet and the evolution of all it's living things. To me personally, every religion has a mythical side but there's only one planet with one time-progression. It's great to know about such things as Adam and Eve, but foolish to ignore the geologists and paleontologists, and their researches....but that's just me, of course...

I agree with you there. It constantly amazes me that people who have no idea what evolution says, cannot give even a basic representation of what it is but are nevertheless bound and determined they are gonna skule people on how stoopid they are. Humans are members of the primate family, dear, we share 97% and 99% of our DNA with our closest relatives, the chimp and the bonobo it's but one fused piece of data which separates us from the chimp.

Any chimps reading this would be rightly offended!

We can believe up to an extent but science cannot be proven.Things that go against the word of God just contribute to my further belief that there are and always will be inconsistencies in science.

Inconsistencies in 'science' is such a weird concept that it makes me suspect you misunderstand science.
The truth is the truth, and science is merely a process by which we attempt to discern it. One would hope we learn as we move along, although at times evidence of this appears scant.

I'm done with this. You all can call it a "win" or whatever but it's gotten to the point where everyone is just denying the truth and I've got God so that's all that matters.I really hope and pray that y'all turn from your false thinking and accept Christ as your Lord but as far as this is concerned I'm done, this is doing nothing productive.Peace out y'all
Wow ... immense stubbornness and arrogance. Is there any evidence that would make you doubt your belief in God/Jesus/the validity of the Bible? If not, that is a very dangerous position to be in. An open mind is always a good thing to have. Follow the evidence, not confirmation bias.

There are so many different views on how old the earth is,so regardless of how it came about, why do you think the earth is the age that it is and how do you know that your belief is accurate,or is it all just a hypothesis?
I think that the problem with "young earth" is that there is no evidence to back up the claim. The Bible can be used to cite claims made by Christians, but it cannot be used as evidence to support those claims. This is because this would merely be circular reasoning ... using the Bible to substantiate claims MADE BY the Bible. If there IS evidence to back up the "young earth" hypothesis, I would love to hear it. But, thus far, the only claimed "evidence" seems to be based on a confirmation bias, trying to use the evidence to confirm what is claimed in the Bible rather than following the evidence wherever it leads.

Should we do the same for physics? Heliocentric vs terracentric solar systems?

More so this allows people that have no qualification to make a judgement on a subject they are ignorant of. This can easily become an ad populum argument and argument from false authority. It lends credibility to people that are not deserving of it since many did not put in the time to learn the subject along with the background of the topic be it physicals, evolution, geology, etc.

The easy target in this dynamic would be faith healers versus professional with medical degrees. One has a track record of zero while the other is practiced all over the planet under government and university standards to ensure professional are educated.

Big Bang/evolution/whatever anything that isn't Creationism
Please don't take this the wrong way, as this is a completely honest question.

Why do you think it reasonable to ignore actual objective evidence in favor of a book written by unknown authors thousands of years ago who had a far more primitive understanding of our physical world? In other words, if all of the currently available evidence goes against the "young earth creationist" theory, why would you stick with it? Does it bother you, or is it just that you have an insurmountable amount of faith?

The level of ignorance is unreal

All I'm saying is I just don't see how anyone can believe that the earth just happened and that people came from apes, that,s just ignorance, and scientific "evidence" doesn't mean jack because it is flawed.
With the Bible, we don't even know who wrote it. Doesn't that make it "flawed"?

This is pretty disrespectful. What "truth" is "everyone denying"?

God is all-good and therefore doesn't "slaughter" anyone.

...do not leave alive anything that breaths. Completely destroy them...as the Lord your God has commanded you...

Deuteronomy 20:16

And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

Exodus 12:29

21 All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; 22 of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. 23 Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.

Genesis 7:21-23

Yahweh confused them before Israel, and he killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah. It happened, as they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, that Yahweh cast down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than who the children of Israel killed with the sword.

Joshua 10:11-11

23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

2 Kings 2:23-24
