Screw winter

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
Screw the cold, and the snow, and being trapped inside all day with nothing to do. I feel very frustrated and isolated in the winter. I have no choice but to stare at screens all day because what else will I do? I suppose I could read, but I barely have the patience to watch a movie these days (maybe that's something I could work on).

Alright, reading Max Brook's Zombie Survival Guide. It's the first book I ever read all the way through, back in high school. Time to give it a go again!

It's understandable that this would frustrate you, and I can relate as someone who starts to feel quite drained when I can't go out for an extended period (generally a week or more, for me).

Are you looking for opinions and any advice, or did you just want to talk about it? I'd be happy to participate in the thread either way.

I am just mostly venting here, I'll adjust, no advice needed. Thank you for reading this and responding :)

I'm sorry to hear that this is your experience. (I have mobility issues and I do not at all look forward to trying to manage the cold, snow, and sleet.) I wish you well.
I wish the best for you as well. This winter is nothing but trouble.

I am a 4-season person, so I actually like winter. I try to get outside at least an hour each day, so the body & mind both adjust over time.

Lyrics that might help:

"Me and Winter,
We're old friends
we been through some hard times
But I can't forgive him, no
this time
'cause he went and killed this car of mine
I never learned how to fix it,
I barely learned how to drive!
Lord, look at me,
I'm out in the cold again!

It came quick, didn't it...

One day its in the 50s, the next we're under inches of snow in under 20 degree weather...
