Jennifer Jones, a lesbian won the homecoming king title beating out three men in a voting process. CNN reports:

I think it's kind of petty for someone to get their panties in a bunch over this.

But...I can kind of see where people are coming from, stating that the label "king" is one of those terms that actually IS GENDER related.
