Janakpur in Nepal is (supposed to be) the home of the parents of Mother Sita, King Janak and Queen Sunayana (she was the adoptive mother of Mother Sita).
It is customary that gifts are sent to the son-in-law from the people of the bride's house on happy occasions.
"Over 3,000 gifts from Janakpur in Nepal arrived in Ayodhya for Shri Ram. The gifts, including silver shoes, ornaments, and clothes, were handed over to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust by Ram Roshan Das, the priest of Ram Janki temple." Google Search - 3 hours ago
