Oh, I dint to nothing.
I directed others to do work for me.
And I dispensed wisdom to those in need.
BTW, as I passed thru Hudson River Valley,
I waved to the north to you. Did you see me?
(Yes, I really did wave.)

Yes I saw you...but I ignored you......If I acknowledged you, it is likely you'd have asked for money....

On this trip, my scrap iron moving was light
enuf to use the Sienna & small trailer. So I
got 29 mpg instead of 9....& greater comfort.

So you did get the Sienna back, and managed to miss all the deer, good driving there

A friend had an accident in his VW last October, he still hasn't got the car back. But has been promised... It will be soon...
I got one of those on my lift when I use to work for VW. Had to replace the fender, inner wheel well, passenger door, and front bumper. The biggest hold up then was waiting for VW to deliver the parts, but that was over 30 years ago, and it was a VW Jetta...or was it a Golf.... I don't remember..that was over 30 years ago

The mind is the first thing to go....

Either way, Germany is only next door and you can die of old age waiting for the parts.

My friend can anyway, he's getting on in years.

I'd never buy a German car.
Nothing against the Krauts.
I just find that Japanese cars suit me better.
(Cost, reliability, serviceability, & annoying
conservatives I know who hate "Rice burners")

Well, good luck with the surgery.
The surgery is healing well.
(I went under the knife Apr 10.)
But it'll be another 5 months before
it's safe to use full hand strength.
With you on injured reserve, the capitalist team is losing its best player, but hopefully just for a short while.
There are more capable capitalists here on RF, I'm sure.
I'm merely the loudest & meanest.
I thought you could post with one hand tied behind your back.
It was very slow.

Perhaps in November, the left hand goes
in for the same tune-up. Oh, boy.

I used to have a Mercedes, service parts were ok, in stock. But i never bent it to want parts shipped from Allemagne.

Good reliable cars,

Also, many years go i had a Lexus, also good reliable cars.

Only to foreign cars (apart from the shopping trolley) so I can't really judge

Good reliable cars,
It's a wee bit different her.
It's harder to get German cars worked on.
Audi is known for that, plus poor quality.
The closer you are to Germany, the better
their cars are, eh.

Is that poor quality cars or poor quality work?

My BIL swears by Audi.

Well, all I know is that I have a 2018 Mercedes GLE 350 SUV and it runs really well.
It is indeed factual that some German
cars cause their owners no trouble.
I've owned British motorcycles that
didn't have their electrical system die.
Nonetheless, Lucas Electric is still
called "The Prince Of Darkness" for
good reason.

Har! Don't get me started. I just paid $475 to have a PART of a mirror installed! (Yes, I barely clipped another car's mirror with my passenger side mirror and of course the other car was fine but mine was not. Oh, and it was pouring down rain.) I can't stand for something to be broken on my stupid vehicle.
