That's good evidence of god.

You're saying that if some thing can't be measured, but could be there, that's "good evidence" for the thing?
Hmmm.....the possibilities are endless!

Rev is not only solid in his reasoning for non-belief but is correct to contend that time can be infinitely split just as any conceptual measurement of distance, space etc.

That's a revolting mistake!

Rev is not only solid in his reasoning for non-belief but is correct to contend that time can be infinitely split just as any conceptual measurement of distance, space etc....
Let's not carry this too far.
It would exceed my ability & authority to say that smooth time is "correct".
I'd say only that it's useful to see it that way....so far.

If you can't measure something, how do you know it is there?

Hi Tiberius,

Do I need to measure self in order to be aware that I know that I am?
Measurement is conceptual complete with artificial parameters.
Existence does not know measurement.

Boggy thoughts from the swagging tail,

PS Rev, you are quickly becoming a crusty convert :clap

I'd argue that you are subject to measurement. but I'd broadly define "measurement" as any objective observation.
Objectively, you exist.

Becoming? I was one of Crustymucus' first fans!

Being subjected to another's idea or illusion of measuring is contingent upon the device being utilized within the framework of the imagined construction. It would not be objective nor subjective, it simply is not a component of existence.

Uh......uh.......yeah.
I still think that you exist, because I can observe you (ie, phenomena which define you).

Hey Rev,

I do exist, measurment not required. I believe you exist else I would not be posting this. Measurement is the merry-go-round in the mental playground, existence does not know the metric system.

I exist on the internet to the extent that posts are made in my name.
Were you to say more of me, additional evidence is needed.

Mornin' bro. Rev,

Identification begins within and can be subject to the filtering of imagined measurements. Existence is eternal.

"What, me worry?"

Good morning, Swamp!
Even eternal existence is imagined, because the future is unknown to us.
We can't even observe the past with any reliability.

Btw, have you taken advantage of my free French lesson yet?
(It's short & easy.)

Eternal transistion is existence and thus static. The past is here, just as the future; both are within "now," now transcends the illusion of then as it is the essence of everness. Wording frames a character that refuses to maintain a smile. :sarcastic

I took a smattering of Francais back in the day, which of course is still now. :run:

Coming soon: a course in crustyism
