Your Opinion on Osho

Acintya_Ash

Bhakta
As far as my opinion goes, i enjoyed reading his book, it gave me more clarity. Some of his ideas does seem crazy, so I don't buy everything he says. This thread is not intended for debate. Just give your honest opinion on Osho and his teachings.
Thank you

Personally, I rate Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh 2.0 very low on the spiritual ladder. One can do much better. Much better, indeed.

Changing ones name due to distinct progress on their inner path is one thing, changing ones name to avoid becoming associated with a blighted past is nothing short of deception.

Some good and some bad. And the good can be found in other sources without the bad,

I absolutely love Osho, the sad thing is there is a lot of lies about him, well that's what happens when one speaks the truth.
(I have been begging for the condescendence of the HInduism DIR a lot as of late and I must do so again. Oh well. Sorry, Hindus)

While it is very true that there are a lot of lies about Rajneesh running around, there is quite the dychotomy about which side is saying the lies.

Which is surprising in and of itself, considering how littered and peppered his teachings are. He reminds me of Paulo Coelho.

I like Osho, he is brash with his ideas; yet at least he is thinking for himself, about what the religious texts mean as a whole. :)

Nor was he a Buddhist, which is one reason why he disregarded even the basic directives of Sila.

He was just a skilled liar who had slightly above average skill at peppering his venom with some truth for resilience.

He is excellent at making money and becoming well-known.
I see, the difference then with Osho is that he wasn't interested in money, people kept giving him money, and watches, and Roll Royce's, he would play with them and then give them away, yes a lot was happening around Osho, but Osho himself was nothing to do with it, you have to understand that.
