That's kind of an insult. If it was real magic it'd be easy, that trick would have actually taken a lot of skill, understanding of psychology and lots of practice.

It was certainly imaginative and cleverly constructed, though I'm not a huge fan of the "sob story" angles on talent shows (or talent shows in general for that matter).
