You know my soul but you don't do the dishes

From the moment we met we've been engaged
Now you know my mood when I walk into the room
You've been beside me from now till then
You know my soul

But you don't do the dishes
You will never speak to me
But I like the silence -
When you look into my eyes,
There's a connection that I can't describe

But I've never seen you wash the clothes -
You won't mow the lawn
And you never even brush your teeth

I can't get you away from the games -
I can't get into your mind

In spite of all this, your still a good dog.

LOL! Congratulations! I completely did not expect the last line!

I think the poem works. I felt the sense of connectedness.
