You can only find what you seek

We Never Know

You can't find gold unless you go in search of gold.
You can't find food unless you go in search for food.
Etc etc.

How can one find a god unless they go in search for a god.

In short.... You can't find what you don't seek.

What was that movie.... If you build it they will come?

Thoughts?

I don't know. I find stuff I'm not looking for all the time.

God knows I wasn't seeking to have ten cats...

I was not seeking God when I found Him. God was the last thing on my mind when I stumbled upon the Baha'i Faith, but I think I am an exception. Most people have to seek to find God.

My guess is they came to you.

You would be correct. :)

Or gold, silver, food, a mate, etc.
One cannot find without seeking.

Unless its trouble...
Trouble will seek you out :D

Well, I wasn't seeking a mate, either, when I met my husband. Actually, I was against the idea, but he wouldn't quit calling me..

He might have qualified as trouble, though. :D

Lucky guess?

He couldn't have had you unless you wanted it.

He had to convince me I wanted it. I wasn't exactly seeking.

I feel there's a difference in actively looking and being open to what life throws at you. In the first option, you're looking for change or a specific result. In the second, you're not looking, but you're not hiding, either.

In my opinion you can't convince someone into something they don't want, at least are not thinking about.

I guess I am the exception because I was not seeking a mate when my husband landed on my doorstep. My mother brought him to me and three weeks later we got married. That happened 37 years ago.

I never looked for the Gods.

They fell into my lap so to speak. Therefore your analogy is false. Sorry.
