You called the scriptures I gave a confused mess, rather than have to deal with it. The scriptures said Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit? You haven't lied to men but to God. (And you are so bold as to call the scriptures a mess?)

God said he would pour out HIS SPIRIT on all flesh…as you quoted.

God said he would put his spirit on his servant (making that servant, The Messiah… the Christ)(Isaiah 42:1)

Yes, the ONLY Spirit which is holy IS GOD’s Spirit.

The spirit of a person IS NOT THE PERSON! The spirit of a person is the ACTIONING force, the ENABLER of that person.

Our spirit ENABLES our body to function. It activates our body to perform acts.

So also the spirit of God is the enabling force of God.

In the verse in Peter, it is said that that man lied to the holy spirit. The holy spirit is TRUTH… the spirit of truth… the man lied about giving what he had promised to give… he lied to the SPIRIT OF TRUTH!!

And since the holy spirit is of God, he lied to the God whose spirit is Truth.

You have been indoctrinated by Trinitarian ideology to read: ‘Lied to the spirit of God; lied to God’ as meaning LIED TO two persons: GOD AND THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.

If you had the holy spirit in you then you would know that these are not two persons but GOD ONLY… God who’s SPIRIT is Holy, Righteous, and Truth….!!

Trinity is so desperate to claim God’s Spirit as a person that they turn the truth of God into a lie!!

Image of God is a reference to the qualities and nature of God.

We have intelligence, wisdom, creativity, love, conscience, desire, vanity (positive pride), ability to forgive, power to rule, … all the things that God can do but LIMITED by the physics of the fleshly world. We cannot, for instance, create spirit like God can. We cannot defy the laws or the physical bounds that God has imposed on the flesh world.

The greatest aspect of the image is that we should know and acknowledge the Father, from whom our image is sourced. By this we can share in the SPIRIT of the Father… HIS Spirit, which is obviously HOLY!

Allowing, encouraging, letting, the Fathers Holy Spirit into our lives means relying on the Father for guidance and direction in our lives. Adam was called ‘Son of God’ UNTIL he sinned by trying to go his own way after being seduced by his wife, who was likewise seduced by Satan. They LOST the direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit and thus hardship, pain, disease, sickness, and sin, and DEATH in our sinfulness, was the penalty … passed on to all mankind!

We LOST the image of God by losing the Holy Spirit of the Father.

Jesus, born sinless, righteous, holy… by means of the Holy Spirit, AS WAS ADAM, did not sin when put to incredible tests and temptations… (no doubt there were many more temptations than the three mentioned in the scriptures). He continued to be LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE FATHER and therefore REMAINED ‘Son of God’…. And thus is stated as being ‘Image of God’.

Take note carefully: Humanity (via Adam) WAS CREATED IMAGE OF GOD but lost its way…

It cannot be said that Jesus is GOD because he is image of God, because, ADAM was created IMAGE OF GOD… but no one’s says that Adam must be God!!

But those few who reached out to God received it by limited degrees: Think of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Noah, David, Samson, Solomon, Daniel, The prophets, Jonah, John the Baptist …….

Thanks for that.
Nobody says that Adam must be God because of the fact that Adam was created in the image of God.
But Jesus was not created and Jesus was involved in the creation of Adam as He was involved in the creation of all things.
