Jeremiah, who is probably the youngest prophet in the Bible with the age of approximately 17, writes:
Cursed be the day I was born; the day my mother bore me, be not blessed! Cursed be the man who brought the good news to my father, saying, 'A son is born to you,' and delighted him with it! And God shall destroy that man: Because he did not kill me in my mother's womb, so that my mother would have become my grave and her womb would have remained pregnant forever! Why did I come forth from my mother's womb to see toil and sorrow, and that my days were passed in shame?
Why does Jeremiah write this?
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stone those who are sent to her! How often have I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you have not wanted!
