Worship of Truth

So how is claiming to be a follower of a misconception or loose interpretations from another religion a proper stepping stone to worshiping truth? And why Christian versions?

And if what you follow truly is not a religion.....what's the point?

Makes me wonder who is actually more self absorbed......the old ones or the new ones. Doesn't really matter in the end.

Pardon me for stepping into the DIR but since this isn't really a religious, in fact an anti-religion, I fail to see how it matters anyway.

So does that make you anti-anti-religious?

No.

I just use reason and refuse to adorn it with gaudy ornaments.

I'm interested in how the author of the OP justifies defining a religious belief as a direct cultural response to another religious belief and how it works as the worship of truth when the religion it is made out of makes the same claim.

I dunno. I like turning everything on it's head.

Christianity... Satanism... Whatever. ;)
Religious, Non-Religious, and Anti-Religious alike.

If I could... I would wear religious symbols on a spinner.
Can anyone here make such a thing for me?

Governmental symbols on a spinner...
Institutional symbols on a spinner...

hahahaha!!!

hehe... upsidedown christianity on one lapel
upsidedown satanism on the other.

... and the only sin would be the lapel.

Fair enough. A LaVeyan typically uses reason but DOES adorn it with gaudy ornaments. The objective behind this practice varies between each practitioner, some do it to rebel, some do it because it's fun to them and many do it simply because they like the imagery.
The power of symbolism is widely known to psychologists and many Satanists seek to tap into this power. One of my friends recently told me that her ex boyfriend had cursed her and she was wondering if I had the power to remove said curse. I asked her to explain what this curse entailed and she described to me a letter she had received, written in a bizarre language and covered with frightening symbols. I recognised the letter to be simply one of the enochian keys found in the Satanic Bible (and readily available on the internet). I explained to her that this "curse" was simply psychodrama and that it's real power lies in the negative effects she was imposing upon herself by worrying over it. I told her to simply bin the letter and give it no further thought, thus breaking the curse.
The power of the psychology behind the enochian key had worked it's own magic on this girl without any need for ancient rites and Faustian contracts. Satanists refer to it as "Lesser Magic", it's essentially the application of basic psychology to achieve one's desires and because of the power behind the word "Satanist" we can manipulate others with greater ease.

Actually the word truth!! has all in fact a variety of meanings. I just put onto this forum possible meanings from my humble thoughts! Truth has no real difinition, where those agree and throries can be debated. There will always be different claims on such questions as to what constiutes truth.

The question of truth can be what is a proper basis for deciding how words, symbols, ideas & beliefs may properly be considered what is truth.

One term for truth is a tool of discourse used to express agreement to emphasize claims or to form certan types of generalizations.

I just expressed using truth as a metaphor from simple a point view. In the end tuth is indeed subjective, your tuth, my truth someone's else truth? In the end which is right?

To worship truth is to worship nothing, just like those who worship "god" or "merge with the universal oneness". There is no truth.

There is truth, for truth is what is. It is just a concept defining what is. We as human beings are flawed, and see things differently than they actually are, so those who worship truth simply desire to see things as they really are, and not simply as how we percieve them... Though yeah, i would say worshipping truth is pointless, just like worshipping bravery is pointless. A good idea, but not worth worshipping.... Truth isn't really even a virture, it just is what it is.

Makes sense to me!:D
