No just the bible and it's followers, you could include the Quran and it's followers too.

I don't follow either but competition comes to mind.

Interesting, as a Knights Templar, a Christian organization, always has been, always will, I find it interesting that you have chosen one of our Knights as your avatar.

You state you don't follow the Bible, so I think you ought to rethink your avatar, because it is an emblem of those who did, and do now.

Your avatar is very common in Templar circles.

I am sure there are depictions of English Knights available, who were not Templars. Just say'n.

Convincing to whom ? You ?

Under the theocracy that was Israel under the law, witches were executed as being under the control of satan.

In the Christian dispensation, a believer is enjoined to avoid them and all their trappings for the same reason.

If you find the reason unconvincing, take it up with God, not me.

He makes the rules, and I just follow them.

The templars were massacred by Christians too.

Also the knight may just as easily be an english knight considering his motif is the emblem of st george

Alleged Christians who were under the control of the French king. The king owed the Templars much money, as they financially propped up his rule.

He decided to cancel the debt himself, and on a friday the 13th ( thats why it is now considered unlucky) He conducted dawn raids, capturing many Templars, and their leadership. He tortured and murdered all he had in his control, but not all Templars, many survived

Real and convincing? I don't know. This is the best reason I have heard regarding sorcery and spell-casting: ( assuming these things exist )

Giving to one person, takes away from someone else. We, mortal humans, cannot make something from nothing. Sorcery and Spell-casting redirects energy that is intended for one destination, and delivers it to another destination. That's the difference between a prophet and a sorcerer. A prophet is able to discern divine will and help remove obstacles or create circumstances where this will is executed. A spell caster does not have access to this information. Perhaps they are executing divine will, perhaps not. If the spell ( or what ever ) is effective at making a change here in the material world, and it's not divine will; then, that energy was destined for something else. Therefore, at best, the result is harmful for one thing while it is benefiting something else.

Then there's the other side of witch craft, involving coercing or convincing demons, angels, and other super-natural elements to do humans favors or harm. That would be idolatry. The Biblical God of Abraham doesn't like it. Why not? I don't know. It's a preference, not practical. But, angels, demons, etc... Not something I'm familiar with.

Not familiar with spell-casting either. I'm just sharing the best answer I've heard regarding the question: "Spell-casting, why not"?

    Hope this is helpful,

The Bible says "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" and condemns all sorcery and fortune-telling. Of course that's the Bible, and not everyone views that book as authoritative.

Yes, it is just a picture, of a Knights Templar, wearing a world known emblem of the Knights Templar. Pictures carry messages.

You could use a picture of an SS trooper, but would you ?

Christians killed tens of thousands of witches in Europe over a period of several hundred years.

It may be helpful to understand what prophets did and who they were. They weren't fortunetellers or future tellers.

There were schools for prophets in ancient Palestine.. and MOST prophecy was written after the fact.
