So?

The electorate ratio by party has always been in a state of flux and all parties have tried to put the odds more in their favor since this country was founded. But racism is not called for, but it's not the Dems that are mostly doing it. I left the Pub party many years ago because of the rampant racism found within it.
Where is the racism? Who is racist and what is your proof? What is your proof that it is rampant?

Well duh. The majority of the country supports Democrats.
Democrats put forth policies that cater to the working class, not corporations.
They made Elon Musk a multi-billionaire with heavy
subsidies to both Tesla (a corporation) & to buyers
of his very spendy cars....which cost too much for
schlubs like me to buy.

You mean like the "Quiverfull" movement?
I dont know enough about Quiverfull movement's other beliefs, other than that they are Christian, but any group which over-reproduces should be subject to intense scrutiny in my opinion.

No exceptions made for Christians by me.

I think you are mistaken in your application of the concept. Most people would not consider the reasonable expression of preferences to be "bigotry".

a: "I don't like getting proceed out of my own village by wealthy city dwellers buying holiday homes, and corporations buying up properties to use as Air BnBs"

b: Well that's because you are a disgusting bigot! You should be ashamed of yourself!

I will concede that I am using the term in a way that is typically not how it is applied, but I do think it hits at the root of the problem: humans struggle with cultural change.

My biggest concern is when we make assumptions that lead to violence and discrimination, in particular when it comes to minority groups, and there also where some of these groups have been historically mistreated.

Why do you see it as a positive thing that half of a class may have insufficient language skills to be able to deal with the curriculum?

The language skills may be sufficient, it would just mean learning a new language. This is in itself rewarding academically and culturally. The curriculum can be accommodated for. We do this with ESL students.

And that was the point. There are plenty of places where exactly this has happened, and immigration brings both positive and negative consequences.

One may legitimately oppose uncontrolled immigration for a variety of reasons that do not relate to racism of bigotry.

Possibly, but they need data for it. Regardless, we accept cultural change in one way that far outpaces the changes that come from immigration: technological and economic.

But to ignore his
socialistic aspects is to bury one's head in sand.

Or maybe it's just not very relevant to any discussion about socialism.

Imagine a discussion about art, and someone feels the need to chime in that "Hitler was an artist" whenever that subject comes up. Or a discussion about freeways and someone says "The Nazis had autobahns" every time it came up. It may be technically true, but it's not really necessary or relevant in a discussion about those subjects.

To the cashews I just ate.

Okay then here's something more relevant.

Mind rewording? I'm not sure how you're connecting my post with that solution.

We have a problem of behaviour that is without justification. We then want a way to stop that behavior.

My point was the the way to stop the behavior also has to be justified and even proportionate and sensible . The solution I actually gave was a sort of reductio ad absurdum.

Many democrats celebrated the change in the electorate in the past and openly said that is a plan for their party to win in the future. So how is it a right wing conspiracy?

This so-called 'path to citizenship' never made it through the republican congress. Not only does the far right fear the change in the electorate, they demonize the undocumented, and then followers take it further and weaponize that fear, and that fear is that the white race will be the minority. I live in a blue state which has just granted legal driver's licenses to the undocumented, now the concern is that they might use this license for voter id.

How do they demonize the people that are here illegally?

“We have people coming into the country or trying to come in, we're stopping a lot of them, but we're taking people out of the country. You wouldn't believe how bad these people are," Trump said.

"These aren't people. These are animals."
Trump on immigrants: 'These aren't people. These are animals.' (usatoday.com)
So everyone coming into the country are good people? Trump is saying some are bad people, that is a fact. Did you read his entire comments when he made this comment you have here. If you did it is clear he is talking about the bad people coming across the border such as drug and sex traffickers etc. He has said before that some are good people.
