    Actually it's not.

Satan literally means Opposition, or Adversary. Provided the earliest found termonology of the word "God" derives from the Sanskrit language, dating back 15,000 years ago. The term "God" meant to implore, to invoke, to proceed.

Many implications of Satanism lead to this definition, as Opposition is applied in the might of Heinz-Height to all Aspects of the world.

It is a weak comparison to imply pagans as being the only "hedonists" as Christianity is just another means of seeking pleasure and comfort.

    In all honesty it's hypocrisy.

Waitasec Quote "who are you to judge who has the "right heart condition and state of mind"?
I do not and neither do you. If your comprehension skills are more advanced than a 6 year old you will see I said GOD is the seer of hearts and reader of minds. not me, not you.
instead of being so overtly condescending and arrogant i would have received your statement in a positive light had you said 'with a certain heart condition and state of mind' I did say that...what are you smoking?
I preach resurection, for all even Satanists. But Yes I do believe you will not go straight to heaven without accepting Jesus's sacrifice and the right heart, which the likes of a Satanist is unlikely to have right now.
get over yourself...really, humility goes a longer way".

I think you had best take out a mirror and see your own reflection..it aint pretty either!!!!!!

It's called indoctrination because I believed it as a child in a Catholic school and even more so a dread of going to hell.

Entering Heaven is like entering a society. There are rules or regulations which specify what you need in order to enter therein. Even satanic societies will not admit just anyone, they must abide by the rules specified. If you know what it takes to enter Heaven you will get in. If you do not know, you will remain outside.

Of course Heaven is made of several levels or degrees, so everyone will eventually get in, the only question will be at which level or degree will you enter, the highest, middle or the lowest?

So you leave one hierarchy just to go to another hierarchy?

Well... I believe conservatives today seem to have forgotten that mercy should triumph over judgement as they fight fire with fire with political incorrectness against secular humanist who reflect fundemental Christian values without the advantage of claiming faith in the god-in-a-box bible thumping gun toting mentality. It amazes me what some folks can justify and omit in good human behavior whilst waving a King James.

However I think there are grass-roots exceptions to the media infotainment standards of FOX and MSNBC... it's sad really that these more common-sense conservative and liberal Christian families cannot be seen doing what they do everyday without the fanfare of letting their left hand know what their right hand is doing. In my opinion Christ teachings put the seat of spiritual power in the least likely and observable of places and once in a while those with true motive get caught doing miracles in news stories reported briefly and as quickly forgotten. Which is probably a good thing since folks or groups who accomplish great good deeds christian or otherwise can often trip over their own goodness.

The Christian version of Satan was patently lifted from Greek religion.

The Greeks, as I said before, had divine beings for many things. Just because another divine being is like one of theirs means nothing.
Greeks believed in Diabolos, as the 'perjurer'. Among many others, but not Satan.
Just because the Jews believe in a like divine being does not mean they are the same. Surely if the Jews believed in Greek gods, they would call them by their proper name.

As a matter of fact many Christian traditions derive from mythology, and I believe the the date the birth of Jesus is celebrated derives from a pagan holiday. It was on the history chanel, so it must be true;)

Well, I don't have cable. I catch a little news on the web. What I speak of are real people who live next to me, who attend church, or the sevral preachers, priests, and pastors I have known in my life.Real people who do not know the bible and even when they do they don't have the strength or will to follow the most important of the scriptures. Whoever lives beyond their means and allows starving children to die is a hypocrite like the pharisees and the bible says they will not go to heaven.

    No, it wasn't.

The Christian version of "Satan" was lifted from the Hebrew and Arabic term, Ha-Satan or Shaitan, which was to mean "Opposite", or "Adversary". Though these religions coexist from the same founding father, they are different.

Christians also like to confuse "Satan" with "Lucifer" which was deviated from the Roman pagan religions.

This "Satan" character did not exist as an entity or being until Christians "evilized" it.

Satan and Lucifer mean two completely different things, where Lucifer was the "God" of Light and was said to bring enlightenment and Light to all of the Universe. It was even said that Lucifer consisted within every being, which is not so far off since science has proven that our very molecules contain biophotons or more commonly, light.

    Gibberish.

    he·don·ism
    n. 1. Pursuit of or devotion to pleasure, especially to the pleasures of the senses.
    2. Philosophy The ethical doctrine holding that only what is pleasant or has pleasant consequences is intrinsically good.
    3. Psychology The doctrine holding that behavior is motivated by the desire for pleasure and the avoidance of pain.

    It is very founded.

It is easy for One to point a finger and say, "He did it", or "That's bad because I think it is".

We are all hedonists, it's human psychology, some would even call it an education.

Yes, in fact, all of the Christian and Hallmark holidays derive from ancient Pagan celebrations.

A Christian can hardly be original

I accept Jesus. I believe he lived and died. Historical texts suggest a man named Jesus died on a cross along with many others who were considered heretics.
