Why the Book of Enoch is God's Word.

The first book of Enoch (not the "2" or "3") is clearly God's Word.
Why?
1. It does not contradict the Bible once, but confirms it.

2. The prophets, the apostles and also Jesus quote from the book of Enoch.
Here are some:
Jude 1:14-15
"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
"To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches, which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
Enoch 1:9
And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones
To execute judgement upon all,
And to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh
Of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed,
And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

Genesis 6:1-4
1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them,
2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in1 man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
Enoch 6:1-3
1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto 2 them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men 3 and beget us children.

Mat. 26:24
Woe unto that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Enoch 38:2
Where will the habitation of sinners be . . . who have rejected the Lord of spirits. It would have been better for them, had they never been born.

John 5:22
the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the son
Enoch 69:27
the principal part of the judgment was assigned to him, the Son of man.

3. The age of the book of Enoch is estimated at 300 BC., thus it is the oldest known apocalyptic writing.

4. Jesus was already prophesied in the book of Enoch, and we must not forget that the age of the book of Enoch is 300 B.C.!

5. The first Christians believed in the Book of Enoch!
For Example, The Church Fathers of the second and third centuries such as Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Origin and Clement of Alexandria all use the book of Enoch. Tertullian (160-230 AD) called the book Enoch "Holy Scripture".

Enoch is a collection of folklore and legends. Its fantasy based on Sumerian tales of the Anunnaki and Marduke.. the Nephilim.

Its not canon in Judaism or Christianity.

The nephiliem (giants) are also mentioned in the Bible.

The Book of Return of the King confirms the accuracy of the Lord of the Rings, so Middle Earth must be a real and true paradise spoken of by the holy prophet Tolkien.

As to the OP:
Richard Carrier in his magnum opus On The Historicity of Jesus, Why We Might Have Reason to Doubt, Sheffield Phoenix Press, 2014, demonstrates with utterly convincing evidence that the era of the origin of the Books of Enoch was the prime time obssession of the ancient Jewish for story telling. We have literally hundreds if not thousands of made up books, some of which actually made it into the Bible (Daniel) which no group of Jews nor Christians believe is the Word of God. This era was the best time to just, to quote Carrier "make stuff up." Whether it contradicts the Bible or not is irrelevant as to it being the Word of God. It is some Apocalyptic Jews point of view about the political times they were living in according to several Bible scholars, James C. Vanderkam, R. H. Charles, James H. Charlesworth, Andrei Orlov, Gabriele Boccaccini, Joseph A. Fitzmyer, Robert M. Price, J. T. Milik, and George W. E. Nickelsburg, to name the most prominant players in this area. Even the Mormon scholar Hugh Nibley got into the act, and came up with all sorts of parallels to demonstrate without question (in his mind) that it doesn't contradict the Mormon scripture they call The Pearl of Great Price, and the books of Enoch prove Joseph Smith was a true prophet!

This is an area which is simply rife with speculation and innuendo, phony scholarship, and yet real and serious attempts as well, to attempt to figure out just what the Sam Hill is going on. There is simply no final conclusions we can point to as of yet, other than the ancient crackpots can still continue to influence some modern day crankpots with their own weird and wild fantasies. I'm not calling you a crankpot, I am saying your ideas simply don't hold up all that well. There is vastly more made up stories and phony history in the history of Judaism than there is scripture by a rather large margin actually! I used to study all this kind of stuff all the time. If it's one accusation that holds up rather well, it is that the ancient Jews were some of the best story tellers and inventors of stories of all time, and we have overwhelming evidence showing this. One must be exceedingly careful in that regard. What you have accepted as the Word of God simply isn't so, by a vast margin of many religions and scholars of religion and history. I, for one, cannot follow in your footsteps in agreement either, sorry.

Interesting idea, however the 'rules' sure didn't translate to what Jesus told the disciples, did they.

In other words, vague.

You know there's a reason why Jesus's instructions to the disciples are the 'rules', and alot of other things aren't.

That being said the idea for some torah rules is also traditional, however they don't follow the interpretation of what became judaism.

The book of enoch says the giants were 3000 ells tall
an ell is 18 inches
that would make the giants 4500 hundred feet tall
It also says they ate all the food on earth and when it ran out they started attacking humans
It was written by someone after 500 BC and uses versus from other scripture
It is not Gods word, the part above describing the giants is total nonsense

Goliath was not as tall as the empire state building The giants in Genesis were probably about 9 feet tall

The Book of Enoch came late and was a collection of Jewish folklore and legends.

Codes and numerology take precedence. At least and Torah. We can not check NT.
Again it's vague. The Torah isn't the Old Testament, and the Old Testament correlates basically to who would be reading the book of Enoch. Or might be reading the book of Enoch.

Just need more explanation of what you mean, here.

Old rabbis said that Torah gas 49 levels of understanding. Literal is just the first, there sequences f groups of letters in Torah that allow PARDES type of meditation , every latter can be represented by a shadow of fingers forming a latter, so passages of Torah can be written in shadow id your hands, if you follow patterns of latters (like in Genesis ever 49th latter) trained practitioner would fall in powerful repeatable trance. Check meru.org and ,say, https://thetrugmans.com/3914/biblical-numerology-reveals-deep-torah-insights/
