I have had several people In AA 12 Step programs try to convert me and a few Southern Baptists in my old church from when I was a Kid all of these hyped up so call Christians who tell me Im going to hell or I need Jesus have never ever ever ever once ever wirness for Christ or God not once.

They are witnesses for they'r'e church and denomination but claim to be Christians who witness for Jesus. They think they're the only ones going to heaven and try get me intoa membership in church everytime they witness to me. They'res no such thing as witnessing just to get someone into Christian beliefs then say pray about it where God leads you and find the right church for you.

No they don't do that ever, I have never witnessed a Christian witnessing Jesus its all about church membership period. They witness for their church period.

Isn't it obvious? As soon as they do, they get scolded by some atheists, Muslims, or pagans about how Christians in the past were so evil, and they don't want any of them around these parts.

All the same, they should witness, because these people are basically bullies, but the climate is such that I don't blame most people. Most people are live-and-let-live types.

What is "witnessing for Jesus" as opposed to whatever else you have been hearing? I have had numerous people from several religions try and tell me about their particular version of a god.
If their church is a Christian church, perhaps that's where this "witnessing" takes place and so the invitation would make some sense.

I remember only one church that I went to that put a lot of pressure to go out and bring in new members. We were also encourage to go out to as many bookstores as we could and request a specific book written by one of the founders to encourage stores to put more of them on the shelfs.

This seem to me too much like lying. I'm sure they had a lot of faith and conviction in their belief they were doing the right thing. None of it felt right to me so I left.

They paused which allowed me to walk rapidly away.

people in 12 step programs cant witness without trying to get a church membership people who knock on doors always tru to get people in church memberships and people who go out and witness tot he streets and any Southern Baptist who witnesses and a bunch have witnessed to me.

The Southern Baptists in Texas think they are the only ones going to heaven. In fact First Baptist church of Dallas is a huge huge Baptist organization that I'm sure a lot of Christians on here know about. They went around 6 years ago when I was in a pub on the streets where bars were came into the bar had a tag on them saying I belong to First Baptist of Dallas hugged me told me they loved me and handed me a pamphlet with info on their church.

I don't Baptists and they are the biggest church in Texas I don't believe they give one iota about witnessing for Jesus its all about who get the most new members in their church, well its a competition.

That's exactly my point they all think they're the only ones going to heaven and care more about church memberships then their God.

I have met some real Christians who have dropped out of church because of some of what I said. Its a man made organization its really not what I call a path to me its an organization caught up in their own man made rules.

I believe Jesus alone is the Savior and would never witness for a church or church membership as necessary for salvation. Although, I have been a Christian for over 25 years and have attended various churches, I've never been a member of any particular one.

The problem lies in the churches themselves. Denominations are not of God. Jesus Christ has already told us,

“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand” Mark‬ ‭3:24-25‬.

If a government, a nation, a people, a home be divided, it will fall. So why are all these denominations doing? They are destroying Christianity for those who truly want to serve God.

If people really served God the way they ought to, the world would be a better place. People would believe in God, it would be close to heaven on earth.

I apologize for those people who only seek for church membership. This is in no way Christianity. The focus of God is first and foremost the soul of that individual. (“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” Mark‬ ‭16:15.‬) Once that has been done, then please come to church and continue to hear the word of God.

The OP isn't suggesting people don't witness, but rather that they witness for their church rather than their God.

And about the only thing 'Muslims, pagans and atheists' have in common is a desire to eat their lunch without being told they'll go to Hell by Christians, I guess. How that makes them bullies, I'm not sure.

It’s interesting you say that. If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, if you are not serving in in righteousness and holiness, how can you understand the message of Jesus Christ?

It’s like meeting a stranger and then you tell your friend that the stranger thinks this way when you’ve never interacted with this person. It’s ridiculous to say you know someone’s belief, someone’s stance if you e never spoken with that person.

I think this is the situation with millions of people today. Everyone is more than happy to say they know Jesus Christ and how he wants us to live, but none of it a lines with his word nor do the people’s lives.

A toad is not a frog, so if it professes to be one we already know it’s lying because we see it’s physical features.

I agree. And no person has the authority to determine your heart, including church leaders or priests. So what gives followers the authority? The Bible?

    Even Jesus didn't judge men.

    John 8:
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

People cannot see your heart. People who are obese Christians judge a man who smokes because they believe he "defiles the temple" (body/flesh). Doesn't obesity do the same thing?

    Matthew 15:
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

Don't let these people defile you. Seek for yourself, and you will find the answer. It's all about the spirit, and nothing of flesh, which they appear to judge.

That is a very invalid statement.

    Jesus did Judge.

I’m fact we see judgement dished out particularly when speaking to the Pharisees.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.” Matthew‬ ‭23:14‬

“Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” Matthew‬ ‭23:33‬

Jesus literally called them fools, blind guides, hypocrites, vipers, murders, etc. So let’s not pretend that Jesus didn’t judge.
    ——————-
Everyone judges the only difference is that there isn’t a punishment that follows (I think that would be a long the line of condemnation).

Jesus judged but he never condemned anyone. This reminds me of the situation with the aduteresss.

“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:11

Here Jesus clear states he doesn’t condemn this women, instead he pardons her of sin. Jesus already knows this women is a sinner, he has already judged her as such therefore he says to her, “go and sin no more”.

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke‬ ‭5:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Levi, who was a publican/tax collector, Jesus called a sinner. In fact, Jesus distinguished two people in the world the righteous and the sinner.

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭8:24‬ ‭

This verse here is a perfect example of what Christians ought to tell people. If you do not believe and continue in Jesus Christ’s word then you will go to hell.

You know what else Jesus said within this same chapter?

“I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:26‬

    And what of this:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭8:44‬

Hmmm........ did anyone consider the Catholic Church? It’s been around the longest. The Catholic Church still makes saints, suffers heavy persecution, builds schools hospitals and churches. We still preach

I think you confuse judging with " knowledge you SHALL be judged by". Grace from the Father is how we are saved. This is to say that the Father knows our weakness to flesh desires and understands and is patient. Thus Christ didn't judge the flesh (desires) at work within us, The Jews judged by the "Law" of flesh. Not to perform adultery physically means they didn't sin. Jesus taught that the dwelling on the thought alone (even though not performed physically) was sin. No Jew could be considered sinless by keeping a law physically.

It was this knowledge that we are to judge ourselves, but not others. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Sorry. I do not accept the orthodox premise. To remove the splinter from their brothers eye, while their own eye has a beam within it.

As "truth", Jesus exposed the liar (devil, Demiurge) that the Jews had been following. That's not judging. It is giving the "bread" (knowledge) of the true Father. John 6:32
