Why does God abort so many fetuses?

Why would god allow defective foetuses to occur?

You mean why does God allow defective Foetuses to occur? as they do occur.

God is not involved, Compared to any profitable manufacturing process, biological reproduction is dire, and highly risky, with an extraordinary failure rate. If God was involved that could not be the case.

The evidence that...
That we did it to ourselves with the Fall.
That we could have become more than the merely natural animals
That we rejected God's offer.

I hardly think stone age myths are sufficient evidence....
If you don't find the Genesis myth satisfactory, then oh well. It's pretty hard to pinpoint exactly when mankind developed its current rational cognitive abilities or perception of morality by looking at fossils or genomes. Add to the fact that God by definition cannot be scientifically proven or disproven, and you come to the fact that there's no point in asking for epistemological evidence on the subject.

Has anyone come across the insane Christian sect called the, 'Quiverfulls', who believe that all children are a blessing from god and they should never use any form of birth control, having as many children as god sends them.

If god is responsible it isn't choosy about who has kids, what about those have been abused and killed by their evil parents/

I quite enjoy myths, and they are often vehicles for teaching useful lessons. however many others contain very little such usefulness, such as the three points you raised.

Sounds a lot like traditional Catholics.

But what the person said wasn't a myth but on an intelligent objective observation not meant to denigrate nor raise up. Why did you take it as an attack?
