So we can understand here is down near Hell, and people are evil in many ways, without them consciously seeing their own wickedness (Zechariah 5)...

We can understand that Yeshua set a Snare in the Bed of Adultery (Isaiah 28:9-21), and placed the Curse (Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 26) on the world until his return...

Where then the Holy Fire will remove the Rephaim (demons) and Nephilim (fallen ones) from this reality (Isaiah 17:4-6)...

Thus this explains why regardless of what the Messiah says, no one will accept him (Luke 7:25) until after the land is cleansed (Luke 7:30).

    In my opinion. :innocent:

I hope there is something out there that is smarter than me.
I don't reject Messiah, I am displeased at the ways of his followers.

"until after the land is cleansed" means (IMHO) after you have cleansed your heart
So after cleansing your heart, only then you will be able to accept him

So it is not so much "why does everyone have to reject the messiah"?
Because they didn't cleanse their hearts, they are just unable to accept

assuming the cleansing would be....all that reject Him

and if all reject Him....the land is cleansed by killing.....all

and then.....there would be no one to accept Him

He would stand alone accepting Himself and what He has done

I think it's just the "icing first" haters that reject messiahs of any ilk.

So, I feel compelled to point out that if all of the Abrahamic canon is as "real" or "true" as the canon of the Greek pantheon of gods, then there is every reason imaginable to reject "the messiah." And, based on the caliber and availability of the evidence, and the presentation of the reality we live within, the Abrahamic religions being entirely false/fabricated is (and always has been) a very strong possibility. I am reminded of this nearly every time I hear the ultimate reason any theist I have ever heard from gives for ultimately believing.
    • "Someone I knew had cancer, and it went into complete remission after the doctors gave them 3 months to live."
    • "I was praying for a sign in church, and when I looked up, the statue of the crucified Jesus was the first thing my eyes landed on."
    • "I saw a waterfall frozen in 3 columns."
Believers I have actually heard from on this idea of the "most important moment" that solidified their belief, are always so reluctant to tell the story. In my experience, they'll hem and haw for a bit, and then when pressed will finally lay it out. And because of their fervor in belief, I used to always expect something profound. Some really, truly grand moment when something happened to them that was somehow undeniable. But I have been egregiously let down every single time. There has never once been a story that seemed as if it could only be attributed to a deity, and never once has there been sufficient justification as to why the person doing the telling felt that assuming a deity was the best possible explanation.

It is a truly sad state of affairs.

I think that's a very helpful frame-of-reference. If someone's eyes are closed and they have an umbrella over their head, the light of the sun is blocked.

You mentioned scriptures as if you took them seriously, or they objectively proved anything.

So, I would suggest to post that in a like minded Dir or get ready to get the unavoidable heat.

It is relative. When someone says I am blind, I say she is hallucinating, instead.

Both claims have, ceteris paribus, the same strength.

Therefore, you need something that gets us out of the tie.

Which is? Some sort of objective evidence would help. In absence of that, the hallucination scenario is the safest.

    Ciao

    Hmmm.
"a leader or savior of a particular group or cause."
Would you mind identifying the group or particular cause?

Even if you accept the Old Testament, it's clearly addressed to Jews. Since I'm neither the son of a Jewish mother nor a convert, the Messiah is nothing to do with me.

You'd make a good messiah yourself. Relaxed and humble, and finally a guy with a sense of humor.
